Blu-Ray Player + 4 BR Discs for < $200 at Amazon

Amazon Blu-Ray Player and Movie Deal

Use coupon code 'AMAZONBD' to save $100 off the purchase of the $200 Sylvania NB500SL9 Blu-Ray player and 4 already-discounted Blu-Ray titles. Most titles are $20 or less.

Alternatively, you can choose the Samsung BD-P1500 player for about $12 more.

I'd go for this on the Samsung except there are only two movies on the list (Batman Begins & The Perfect Storm) that I want. I'll continue to wait and see what Black Friday brings.

I was thinking about getting my parents a blu-ray player and subscription to netflix for christmas this year. I know they'll like "Batman Begins," "Superman," "V for Vendetta," and "Speedracer"... I think I'm going to order the samsung and save myself from fighting on Blackfriday...

Umm...isn't the most amazing thing about this deal is that you can get a PS3 80gb and 4 blu-rays for 372$?????

True, that's an amazing deal, but for some (like me), that still isn't in their price range. I'm waiting on a $150 player (at the most). Even that may be pushing it for me (due to my budget), but with 2 Blu-Rays already in my possession and the Dark Knight coming out (with some exclusive documentaries that I really want), I'm thinking that's going to be my breaking point. This may be a good deal for those who want 4 of the movies listed, but as some others said, there may be only two I'd even want (Batman Begins, mostly so it would go with my Dark Knight, and possibly Speed Racer).

tempting, especially the ps3, but that title list is pretty lame. I guess I'll be waiting for Black Friday as well...but ONLY online. I'm done with going out at 4am and fighting insane crowds.

Yep, killer deal.

The Samsung along with Superman, Corpse Bride, Speed Racer and Natural Born Killers all for 190 bucks!

Beats getting up early and waiting in line for BF deals.

I guess this is as good a time as any to pull the trigger, but if last year is any indication the best deals are yet to come --- and Amazon will probably match the best ones with free shipping, no tax, and a never-ending wonderment of whether you really got the best deal because their prices change, not weekly or even daily, but sometimes every hour!

Just pulled the trigger on the PS3 version of the deal. Seeing that you can't get a new PS3 anywhere for under 399 and Sony said it's not going to lower its price at all, this seems like a steal.

Then pretty much 4 free movies with it, seemed like a no-brainer.

This seems like a good deal - a similar package at this price point is what got me to switch to DVD nine years ago.

Hopefully the price on the Samsung holds, because I am totally broke after all the Halloween sales. If nothing pops up cheaper online come Black Friday, I'd love to get in on this. I'd be stretching my funds if I ordered before Christmas, but the terms state that the offer is valid up to 12/31. Maybe they'll even add different titles by then.

The details say it should run through the end of the year. It will be interesting to see if the player prices drop any further.

I just got my player and movies in the mail today.

I'm very tempted. Was thinking about getting the PS3 and Amazon doesn't charge me tax. Any idea how long this deal might last?

Alright guys, I need your honest advice on this. I have been looking to buy a PS3 for awhile now. This looks like just about as good of a deal as we are going to see before chrstmas comes. I'm willing to pull the trigger, if you guys can convince me that this should be the case.

I mean, it is like getting 20$ off and getting 4 movies to boot, right?

Hard to say for sure of course, but I don't think we'll get much better. There will be various promotions that are at least comparable, so it sort of depends on whether you want it right now, and how much the movies are really worth to you.

There is always the $100 off Sonystyle deal, if you're willing to take another credit card.

Personally, I'm still contemplating three options.

1 - The PS3 thru this amazon deal.

2 - The PS3 at Costco for the free lifetime warranty/price protection.

3 - One of the cheaper players thru this Amazon deal.

I'm leaning towards Costco, but have the other items in my Amazon cart and have almost pushed "complete order" a couple times.

Don't think Costco has the lifetime on electronics anymore (could be wrong)
thought it was ninety days for return and 2 year warranty..

Quick question: I'm looking at getting the Samsung BD P1500 and I already have an A3 HD DVD player. I'm looking at getting an HDMI switcher and a remote is not neccessary. I searched the forums and this unit was recommended but it was awhile ago. Is there a better option now or should I just pick up this HDMI switch and another cord? Thanks.

Crap, the Samsung is now listed as sold out. 10,000 BC, Goodfellas, Michael Clayton, and Superman Returns are sold out as well. I noticed the Samsung dropped to 205.98 last night. I was finally gonna bite the bullet today...

PS3 sold out too But let's hope this runs to the end of the year and some will be back in stock before that. Also, maybe black Friday will lower some prices.
