It was sold out when I posted that earlier, and it was still on the offer page. They have since completely removed the Samsung from the offer, but have added 3 Sony models in its place:
Sony BDP-S300 for 239.48
Sony BDP-S550 for 329.99
Sony BDP-S350 for 253.99
The PS3 and all of the movies are back in stock, and there might be a few new ones. Obviously none of these are as good of a deal as the Samsung was, which is a darn shame...

Actually it will be cheaper. $100 is knocked off, no matter what movies you select. So if you take 4 cheaper movies, you could actually pay $300 total.

I had the Samsung in my cart yesterday. I tried the code and it's definitely no longer a part of the promotion. I wanted the Samsung over any of the Sony players because you supposedly don't have to upgrade the Samsung with every new release. BD shot themselves in the foot with having to upgrade continuously. BTW they are all the same exact titles. I didn't see a single new one. I was going to wait to see if more titles were added since I wasn't crazy about waht they offered. I think I'll wait for a $100 player. Yes, I may wait a little while but I already have a HTPC with a BD.

It works for me but and I am also waiting for the S550 to drop under $300.

The S350 is back up to $224.00

The PS3 is no longer listed as part of the sale. Thanks, Sony.

Shoot. We snooze, we loose I guess. Slightly OT, but has anyone seen any similarly compelling deals yet on the PS3?

It was there for a couple weeks. There really wouldn't be anyone to blame but yourself if you were looking to take advantage of it.

had a feeling they'd take the PS3 off, it was too good of a deal. I'm glad I jumped on it when i did.

OK. I blame myself. Sorry, Sony.
(I was just trying to report that the PS3 fell off the list and being funny about it in a sarcastic sort of way. I have no interest in the PS3 so I'm not hitting myself for missing a deal.)

With that, I do find the panasonic mildly tempting. Still, the titles (for me) are fair at best. Besides switching players, hopefully Amazon will change or add titles otherwise I'll never bite on this. Good for those who wanted and did take advantage.

Well, the sale ended. Originally it said it would last through the end of the year and now it says the sale ended 11/10. That sucks.

Yeah, I noticed that last Friday. I looked for this thread, but didn't see it. That was kinda bull of them. I was going to buy a player, too. Now I gotta wait and see if any other good deals come along. The BF deals are less than impressive, except for the WM $128 player, but that isn't Profile 2.0. When this deal first went up, I shoulda jumped on it. There were some good players to choose from...

I would have bought a Panasonic DMP-BD55K but having to pay ~$20 each for 4 Blu-ray movies killed the deal for me. I'll continue to rent BDs. I guess I'm spoiled since I have multiple HD DVD players and have been buying titles for cheap. And the same titles don't look any better on Blu.

I think he means the deal where you buy a Sony player plus 2 BD's, you get 2 free BD's. Not nearly as good of a deal...

Ordered the Panny BD-55 and 4 Blu-rays just before this sale ended. The 4 Blu-ray movies arrived today. Just got shipping notification that the Panny BD-55 shipped out today Fed-X 2nd Day Air.

Sold off my Panny BD-30 a few months ago and sold my LG BH200 last week. I never took it out of the box. Also got a call from LG this morning about getting a $75 check from them in a few weeks.

Sent LG 6 e-mails and nothing from them regarding the rebate. Did you contact them in any way?

On the hardware side, K-mart is expected to offer Sony’s BD Live-ready BDP-S350 stand-alone player on Thanksgiving Day for $179.99, according to ads. The retailer’s sister Sears chain will similarly roll out the same player for that price.

Radio Shack will drop Samsung’s BD-P1500 player by $100 to $199 on Black Friday, according to ads.
