Picked up the color Bewitched 2 pack. Not getting into a colorizing debate, but colors look pretty natural, except Samantha's teeth are blue! Very distracting.

To be fair, I've been sitting on getting the Bewitched B&W releases for a while. The only reason I picked up the color ones because it came to $10 per season, and that's not too shabby for colorized prints. Now, they should start packaging the B&W seasons together for completist's sake.

Many television fans don't like the black and white versions but I find I enjoy them a lot more than the colorized versions. Bewitched, Dick Van Dyke Show, I Dream of Jeannie, I Love Lucy ... I like the original versiosn better than the colorized versions.

So is Best Buy going to start getting into the act now? I was there today and saw 2 packs of the Cosby Show for 19.99. They were bundled in 2 packs from season 1 to season 8.

Where there any more bundled packs? Not to get too naggy, but I've heard that a lot of the Cosby Show releases were made with cut masters without any remastering and slim extras, so bundling them to get rid of stock could be the case instead of competing with Target.

IIRC, the first season was cut, but the others were released complete. The complete series for Cosby contains the complete versions of the episodes.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

So I finally made it to two of my local Targets over the weekend to check out the two pack season sets you guys have been talking about. First thing I noticed in the mall one I went to was that the tv section had been picked pretty clean, and Im like WTF. Took me a minute to find the back promo laydown area Target always sets up for the Holidays and Back to School and what not, and that a majority of the $15 Mills Creek sets were there. Had to go to the second Target up the hill to snag my Hunter S 1+2. I will admit that how Mill Creek packages their DVD's in the slip envelopes inside the bigger case is at least annoying, I showed the set to a friend who collects DVD's when funds are available and he echoed my unvoiced thought that at the very least the set looked "clean and neat". And for 15 bucks and the decent quality this now 26 year old series is (wow, am I old; I watched this first run when I was 10), I am not complaining. And I am as superficial when it comes to packaging as anyone can get.

I noticed in the second Wal Mart that they had Jump Street, GAH, The Waltons and Giligan's Island in the "Job Lot" section, but they had the Commish over in the regular "two for" section. Anyone buy the Commish yet and can vouch for quality?

Lastly, I have been eyeing the Master's of the Universe 10 episode, 5 dollar realease. Packaged like all Mills Creeks? Quality that of the original episodes from syndication (the generic looking cover has me a little afraid to plunk down my 5 spot in fear of being dissappointed).

^Watch amazon for the new "Masters of the Universe" set.

Currently "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Complete Series" (new series - S1 & S2 - 39 Episodes) is $9.99. Just keep in mind it has the current disks in paper sleves inside the case design Mill Creek has been favoring lately for its budget releases.

Could a sale be coming up? I noticed that spots for the 2 packs of Alf, I Dream of Jeannie, and one or two more have been set on the end cap at two Targets!

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

The target ad shows
Alf S1&2 and I Dream of Jeanie 1&2 for $12.99
Everybody Loves Raymond S3&4 and Will & Grace 1&2 for $16.99
Family Guy S1&2 and Bones 1&2 for $24.99

Typically all of the similar priced 2 packs should be on sale as well for the same prices

Anybody know what Target's policy is on items purchased before sales? Will they refund the diffference?

It's fairly short, maybe 10 days, but their return policy is 90 days. So you can just re-buy it and immediately return it with the old receipt.

Got the last Alf at my Target. There seemed to be plenty of the other sets left.

Crap, I was hoping Bewitched would be $12.99 as well, but its $16.99. I already picked up IDOJ in the Best Buy online BOGO mistake a few years ago.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

Picked up:

Reba S5/S6 - $16.99
Married with Children S1/S2 - $16.99
Greatest American Hero S1/S2 - $12.99

I really wish they all had been the bargain the Reba set was ($8 off "regular" price), but it's still good overall.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

I also saw Hogan's Heroes S1 & S2, GAH S1 & S2, Third Rock from the Sun S1 & S2, The Riches, both seasons, Martin S3 & S4, IDOJ and Brady Bunch S1 & S2 and add bewitched as well. Now, at Wal-Mart, I saw Big Valley S1 & S2, Cosby Show S1 & S2, martin S1-S4, Family Ties S1-S4, Arrested develoment S1 & S2 and a few others. Also saw at Target I love Lucy, 21 Jump Street, Hunter and Gilliagns' Island S1 & S2, so for those that want to start off their favorite titles of these shows, they're at decent prices for this week. This was in the burbs of Chicago.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

I bought the My Name is Earl double pack just for season 4 since I already had season 3. I don't think season 4 had ever been on sale below $20. The season 3 case is slimmer than the one I own.
