Went by my small BigLots today - they had restocked some of the titles, still no boxsets except for Cracker series 3 which was a floater but I bought it anyway. They only had one. They had some Anime box sets with action figures priced at $10 that were never there before. Not being into those, I don't remember the names of any of them.

^Not stragglers, they were re-stock. I saw those at two different stores, so there's probably some more Sony stuff coming again. There was a strange mix of different studio stuff in the re-stock this week.
It was only 1 or 2 per title at most, so there wasn't much.

I saw at least 4 copies of "Lost in Translation" with Bill Murray today but they were all full screen. But, picked up a few more today at Big Lots, all $3.00 each unless otherwise noted-
Psycho(Anne Heche) and has the UPC cut that Basaro previously mentioned. The other DVD's below have ok UPC codes or will once the cellophane is removed which takes off a "blank" label stuck on it.
Blade Runner The Director's Cut (snapper case)
Hannah and Her Sisters (found it all alone on a wire rack in mint shape. cool)
Gosford Park (murder mystery, two thumbs up from Ebert & Roeper)
The Sabata Trilogy (Lee Van Cleef) 3 DVD box set for $7.00

Was looking over my Big Lots receipt and "Hannah and Her Sisters" with the bar code# of 550014260 has the description of "MGM DVD VIDEO WAVE 2". Is "Wave 2" the "old" wave or the start of a brand new wave?

I got my copy of Hannah from that assortment on April 22, with the same UPC you mentioned.

if this is any help.
I bought Shadows and Fog on July 31st and its code says:
DVD MGM 832 Piece Displa
I know its a different movie from a different box-set, but its still a Woody movie from MGM.
Haven't seen Hannah at all, most likely missed it from before June.
Perhaps 832 is the current 'wave'?

Tip Toes is a restock, I've seen them in different stores and they're new (You can always tell how long those DVDs have been there by their condition) Hopefully we will get Good Bye Lenin & Husbands and Wives again (yeah right!)
I saw a copy of Maxie with Glenn Close. I think that movie is out of print. I only saw one copy at one store.

Has anyone seen anything new in the Fort Lauderdale area, since last months wave which included CQ, Shadows and Fog, Intermission, Yes Men, etc? I'd really like to get those Woody Allen boxed sets.

Interesting; I've seen 2 different prices for Michael Moore box ($5 & $7) & Woody Allen Box #3 (3 for $16 & $16) in this thread.

About FT Lauderdale & S. Florida
If you are in North Broward, Coconut Creek has always gotten shipments first. (About 1 or 2 weeks after you see the titles here) They don't have the same schedule as the rest of Broward. Broward does get their stock before Miami.
If you are in S. Broward, Pines BLVD (Pines & University) has also a different schedule from the rest of FT Lauderdale. They get the shipments later, when the Miami BL get theirs (usually 3 or 4 weeks later than the rest of the country). Pines usually has a very nice selection but DVDs go very fast. They have way too many customers.
I don't think S. Florida get all the junk or the leftovers. It's just that some stores are better than others and demand in FT Lauderdale is higher than in other areas (Miami is better in that sense). I probably have seen every single title in here but sometimes it takes forever to get here. If you go Tamarac you should try another store if possible. Tamarac is THAT store full of VHS and PC crap nobody wants.

I opened up my copy of the Michael Moore DVD Collector's Set to find out that the version of Bowling for Columbine is the 1-disc edition, not the 2-disc as shown and stated on the box. Hopefully, there are copies left when I go back later.
