Big Lots Update Part 2 (With Master List Of Titles Seen)

While visiting relatives in Fayetteville, NC I checked out two Big Lots today. The larger store basically had diddly on DVD (mostly Spanish and cheapie generic stuff). The smaller store (on Bragg Blvd/Hwy 87 for those interested) has a motherlode of MGM titles. I may go back and grab more, but this is what I snatched today at $3 each:
Alien from L.A.
Duel in the Sun (geez - Jennifer Jones, Gregory Peck, Joseph Cotten, Lionel Barrymore, Lillian Gish, Walter Huston & Charles Bickford in a David O Selznick production directed by King Vidor with music by Dimitri Tiomkin - that amount of talent for $3 is virtually unhead of!)
Great Train Robbery (Sean Connery/Michael Crichton)
The Quiet American (Joseph Mankiewicz)
We Were Strangers (John Huston)
A Minute to Pray, A Second to Die (looked like a Spaghetti Western)
A Bucket of Blood (Roger Corman)
The End of the Affair (Deborah Kerr)
The Bride (Sting)
Dean Martin Double: Who Was That Lady? (Janet Leigh) & How to Save a Marriage (Eli Wallach)
Eat Drink Man Woman (Ang Lee)
Shadows & Fog (Woody Allen)
Electra (Greek film from 1962 - hopefully worth a blind buy!)
In Cold Blood (Truman Capote)
Konga
The Fugitive Kind (Marlon Brando / Tennessee Williams)
Hope and Glory (John Boorman)
The Ghoul (Boris Karloff)
Making the Grade (my wife grabbed this)
Hell in the Pacific (Toshio Mifune!)
Jack the Giant Killer (might have passed over this if I hadn't seen others talking about it here!)
Alexander the Great (Richard Burton)
Moulin Rouge (John Huston)
Paths to Glory (Kirk Douglas/Stanley Kubrick)
I passed on Dunwich Horror, X-Man with X-Ray Eyes (seen both within the past year or so) and several titles that looked like Film Noir. I may go back for these in a couple of weeks...trying to watch my budget after that Criterion sale!

Wouldn't mind seeing those Allen and Thunderbird boxes either.

That sale did do some fantastic damage.

I picked up Cracker Series 3 at my Portland, OR Big Lots. $3 for these Cracker Sets are a killer deal. I love this series (if only I could find Prime Suspect at $3/pop). Although the video quality is low.
Definitely had an HBO restock.

OK, yeah, if anyone can still get a hold of Cracker Series 3, I'd pay shipping and cost on it, as I'm about to finish series 2, and I'll just die without Series 3.
OK not really...but close enough.
I'd also like to get Kaze No Yojimbo--if anyone can still find it (I was trying to save money and avoid this place)

Side note: Leonard Maltin's new movie guide(2009) is out now and I bought a copy so I can do fast research on a movie before I even leave the parking lot. I saw "Jack the Giant Killer" and "Magic Sword" all over the place previously but left them behind. Oh, well.

Checked the two closest BL's and found nothing new at the Swansea, Mass. location. Although I did come across one copy of Boxcar Bertha that I've seen a few people mention here so I scooped it up in case anyones interested. And the Seekonk, Mass location has a nice selection of this HBO wave that's all the rage now. But everything is piled into (and onto) the regular wire display making it very difficult to see exactly what they have. On a separate note, has anyone in my area (southeastern Mass, and Rhode Island) seen a copy of "Cop" with James Woods ??? Someone from the west coast mentioned it a few pages back and I was wondering if it's reached us yet.

Cowboy Bebop & Mars Daybreak Restock?
As one mentioned finding Cowboy Bebop & Mars Daybreak restocks (both anime) a few days ago here, can anyone else confirm getting the same restocks as well? Thanks in advance.

^No new anime (CB or MD) here yet, but the Portsmouth store FINALLY pulled their old media rack out of the back and put it back on the floor. Guess there is a little room again now that the HBO and MGM stuff has slowed a bit. The same copies of MD, IGPX, Fantastic Children, etc. were still on the rack as they were before. Hopefully getting ready for some more random anime and stuff.

PS: to NC hunters, I've hit every store in the triangle (Cary, 3 Raleigh, 2 Durham) as well as Burlington and the High Point Rd and Battleground Greensboro stores.
None of the *restock* hbo (the same old same old still hanging out), nor the box sets.
I was hoping for the Allen sets or at least Cracker Srs 3, until I stumbled on the Bandai Limited Edition sets (available in quantities at the 70/Glenwood store, though alas no Kaze No Yojimbo, but lots of Scrapped and Galaxy Angel). Then Kaze would've been nice...but no dice. Looked like I was a little late to the party in some stores. Not sure whether I'm glad I held out so long on checking this board or not...
