I have not had much time to look at B&N for any deals today. I've been wasting a lot of my morning looking for cheap mp3 downloads at Amazon. I was considering getting the new 3 disc Apocalypse Now blu-ray set but they raised the price by $6 yesterday. It was around $38 before the price increase.

No it's an online code to use on the web site. Code A3N4F3Y gives all customers 25% off at B&N.com.

Usually with the store coupons you can use them multiple times unless the store cuts you off. Then I would suggest going to a different store.

Reading is funDUHmental.

You can get the gift set of the Sound of Music blu-ray for under $41 plus tax.
That is $54 less 25%. It had been about $51 when first released but the price went up.

Frank Sinatra Concert Collection also under $41 plus tax. 7 DVD disc set.

I just found out you can get a Christmas Tale with the 25% coupon at B&N.com. That is a great title to get online since it seems non existent at stores. It's $14.99 with the coupon and don't forget the cashback for more savings. I used the e site to get an extra 8% back.

Has anybody been successful using 3 different 25% coupons for the whole purchase not for just 1 item only?

Isn't that the kind of stuff that gets B&N employees suspicious?

Yea that button's there, and I'm allowing all cookies. No dice. (Firefox 3.6)

Thanks!!! Used the 25% off coupon to get the Frank Sinatra Set I've been wanting for a while now but didn't want to pay over $50.00!

I bought four items and used four 25% off coupons (3 member coupons and 1 general coupon). All on one transaction. At two different stores. :D

The third store split it into two transactions. :D

I had my first minor coupon issue today. I was going to get 2 Criterion box sets with 2 different coupons but the cashier said he could only take 1 coupon. I politely explained I had 2 items and 2 different coupons but he said it didn't matter; I could only use one. But then he said one per transaction. So, I asked if he would ring them separately and use each coupon and he allowed me to do that. So why not allow me to use both in one transaction? I wonder if he was trying to keep me from going over $50 so I couldn't use that $5 coupon.

Probably because it would show up on his receipts at the end of his shift. He then might have been in violation of store policy, and at risk of a talkin' to. 1 coupon per transaction keeps your multiples under the radar. You should be grateful he offered that compromise.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

And... the fourth store was a bust. I just left. I didn't even get to the cashier...

Just as I was about to approach the cash register, the phone rang. It was one of the other stores calling. I obviously don't know exactly what the person on the phone said, but the cashier grabbed a pen and paper, and proceeded to write down my name  saying each letter one-by-one, like the person on the phone was telling it to her. Then she made some comment about how a lot of people are using the 25% off coupon. I left before I heard anything else from the conversation... but man! It seems like the B&N stores in and around Ft. Worth are talking about me.

Thing is... at all three stores I went to, nobody showed any kind of concern about me having four coupons. One girl couldn't scan two of them with the barcode reader, so she just manually entered them. She's the one who separated them into two transactions. But still, she didn't care. Now they're calling each other, talking about me. Crazy.

At what point did I say I wasn't grateful? It was my suggestion in the first place. I am always polite and willing to accept compromise and even rejections. I'm just curious why they would have that policy when the savings is the same either way.

I forgot to mention...the manager knew he allowed separate transactions because the cashier rang up both items together at first and had to have the manager void the transaction so he could ring them separately. The manager was there the entire time. As I said, just curious.

After 4 huge 50% off Criterion sales, countless coupons detailed here, and hundreds of B&N retail locations throughout the country, only one rule holds true: YMMV.

Mr. S-o-m-e-t-h-i-n-g-M-o-r-e.
aka: persona non grata.
Too many coupons at once. They're probably calling Customs at the border to alert them of you're suspicious behavior (and to make you pay your dues/duties).

Regarding multiple purchase; I bought two $79.99 boxsets using two different 25% coups and a $5 off $50 today. No big deal at checkout. $48.99 plus tax.

Thanks. Odd that you can use the coupon on this title only, and that they carry the DVD (saw it yesterday) in store, but apparently not the blu ray.

Pretty much the policy at my store where they only accept one coupon per order/transaction. They been nice enough to do the separate transactions where I can use more than 1 coupon but as far as using 2 in one single transaction that's not allowed.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is another Criterion title that is eligible with coupons. There could be more if you search through every title on sale.

I got lucky. First i order gift cards off card woo last week for 215 for 239 in credit. They came today thank god. I had was going to use them online to get 12 titles, which would have been a good deal, but i really lucked out today.

I signed up for the free membership online got we are marshall dvd for 2.99 it is a christmas present used a 15% coupon. Then signed my wife up and got any given sunday for a christmas present used the 25% off coupon for 4.50.

Went to two barnes and noble stores i used 4 25% off coupon, so did she, at each. We were also able to use the 5 off 50 coupon once each at each store. i also used 2 5 off 20 coupons. So here is what i got:

House
Monsoon wedding
in the realm of sense
Wages of fear
Close-up
Summer hours
Lola montes
The complete monterey pop festival
breathless
wings of desire
leopard
vivre sa vie
everlasting moments
Yojimbo & Sanjuro
seven samurai
Kagemusha
gimme shelter
red dessert

For a grand total of 266.39. So 27.39 besides my 239 gift card. Total cost to me 242.49

Now I have them all except for Third man and pierrot le fou. Not bad. I only started collecting last criterion sale in july. I have owned bottle rocket since it came out though.

I do not know of any other Criterions that you can get a coupon to work on, but it is quite simple to check on the web site. All you need to do is look to see that it does not have the message below on the item page about coupons not qualifying. If it does not have the disclaimer a coupon should work.

Note: This item does not qualify for coupons or promotional discounts unless expressly stated.

I'm having a difficult time finding an item on which to use the 25% off online code. I'd get The Twilight Zone Season One Blu-ray which is priced at 59.99 if I didn't already own it.
