My canceled order from about 2 weeks ago has finally been resolved. They're mailing me a new gift card instead of putting the credit back on the Groupons.

I had no idea that they were going to issue a new card. I've spoken to several different people about the refund and have just been waiting for the credit to show up on the Groupon. The email about a new gift card being sent was just a pleasant surprise.

So out of the 3 Groupons I bought, I've used one in full and part of another one. The other 1 1/2 leftover will be in the form of a normal B&N gift card. It all worked out in the end, but not without a headache. I definitely won't be taking part in any kind of deal like this in the future.

I just received refunds for all but my original purchase. The refunds were automatic for me. I never contacted groupon about them.

Thanks again for the codes, Laser. I did use the 15% one to pick up a dvd that was already on a great discount, but generally it's only the 20% or greater codes that I'm apt to use.

I checked and all codes are now redeemed. If anyone has a code they are not going to use they could post it in the thread for someone else that needs one. It wouldn't be practical putting these on the first page since they have a limited redemption life span.

I guess the current online coupons this week are only valid with one or a few redemtions before they become worthless. If B&N didn't send you one you're out of luck with this promotion unless someone is willing to give away their code.

Used that Bambi $10 off coupon code and preordered Bambi, with a remnant groupon that had $3 left on it. Canceled my Amazon order at $15. Hope that doesn't bite me in the ass. Thanks for posting that code!

(Very) long time lurker, first time poster - and props to lasermovies for saving me an absolute fortune on criterion blurays.

Anyway, the Groupon fiasco is the prompt for suddenly breaking cover. I find the mass cancellation unacceptable, since as far as I'm concerned, each cancellation equates to $10 lost value to the customer. It may well be that since Groupon seems particularly inept, for many the fact that they have canceled and refunded Groupons that have already been used outweighs any such loss. For anyone else I'd recommend at the very least contacting the better business bureau and registering a complaint - the more of these that are out there the more people will be dissuaded from dealing with these idiots in the future.

And on the coupons keep up the great work lasermovies. I can honesty say if you didn't do this I would never have touched b&n.

I don't believe you have much of a case as the Terms of the deal stated very clearly that it was one per person. That we were able to take advantage of a loophole and buy more than one doesn't mean we are entitled to keep them or exempt us from retribution.

I don't think that's actually true, though I agree that's probably what they intended. Since they never explicitly stated that you could only buy one per credit card and never said it was one per purchaser, it could easily be interpreted as one per gift card user, which is quite different. It's Seller Beware as well as Buyer Beware - if you can't construct your deals properly, don't go into the deal business.

But I'm not looking to argue the point anyway. If Groupon had dealt with the whole deal more sensibly, and the cancellations from more of a customer viewpoint then it would more ok. As it is, I don't think they can be trusted and the better business bureau is one way of making that clear to the wider customer base.

I received my credits to my credit card account today for the cancelled Groupons. There was one extra $10 credit.

I got refunded for all my Groupons, even the ones I used. Unless they re-charge me for them, I basically got $1100 worth of Blu Rays, books, and CDs for free, plus an extra $100 cash back...

I guess I got an order in just under the gun, so to speak. In any event, I'm glad I was able to make use of it and I appreciate it. As for getting any codes by way of email from B&N - forget it. I'm still not receiving any and I've given up hope of that ever changing. But since I've got about 4 months left on my current membership I'll still be checking this thread religiously for codes that I can make use of.

Question about the printed store coupons and membership card... can I only print and use one 20% coupon in-store with my account? Do they tie store coupon usage to your account? Thanks!

I had all but one of my Groupon's refunded, and I've received my orders already from B&N. The shrink wrap stays on for orders that had my CC attached because I'm not sure how all this will play out.

They currently have no way to track in-store coupon usage per account. However, if you go to the same cashier with the same coupon, they could deny you if they remember you.

I checked my credit card account today and discovered I got $40 refunded for the Groupons. I had three canceled, but managed to get a extra $10 out of it. I already have all my Groupon orders with the exception of a pre-order for Bambi.

Well, I'm not as lucky as most of you. I only got one $10 credit, for the one they supposedly canceled. However, my "security review" canceled order DID ship and is out for delivery today, and my c/c was authorized for the credit amount, even though there were two Groupons applied. Of course, it doesn't mean they won't try to charge me more later. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I find it amusing that my first order (placed on the 4th) was in a security review for over a week, I was unable to cancel an item that I wanted to cancel, then the entire order was supposedly canceled by said security review, yet the entire order suddenly ships out on the 16th. You would think that in 12 days they would have got their shit together and successfully canceled the order.
