It looks like they did kill it. I see they created a mandatory box to fill out what government organization you belong to now during checkout. No more personal purchases. Even deleting cookies is not going to get rid of it.

Bing has been only 8% for some time.
The Military link now asks for military affiliation at checkout. You have to select from a drop-down box. I'm not going to try to get away with lying, but if anybody does, let us know how it works out for you.

Past B2G1F sales you were able to use the bookstore links and coupons. Hopefully it won't change for this sale. I ran a test with the current B2G1F paperback sale a few days ago and at least it seemed to work. I didn't try a coupon but did see discounts applied to 2 books and credit for a free book in my cart. I think it is a good sign for the DVD sale. However will have to wait until the sale starts to confirm it.

I just looked with my account and did not see it. However I've seen it occasionally in the past and just picked a selection from the list. I had no problems completing the order after. You can also try deleting all B&N cookies to see if it will make it go away if you do not want to make a selection. Most likely when you log in it will be gone.
