That is so great about the Amazon reviews for that version.
The exclusives on the Oprah set are:
-11th episode titled "The Making of Life"
-Deleted scenes
-"Music Only" viewing option
The David Attenborough set doesn't have any "extras" really. The 10 behind the scenes segments for the 10 main episodes, about ten minutes each, are included but I believe those were part of the original broadcast anyway. They were in the UK at least. If those weren't aired here in the states then I guess those would count as extras for you if you haven't seen them when the episodes aired.
Here is the DVDBeaver review of the David Attenborough set:
http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film3/blu-r...fe_blu-ray.htm
Even the audio and video quality is higher on the David Attenborough release.

I don't believe so.

The listing there reads to me like it is two entirely different things. I have no clue what is on "The Making of Life" though.
This is more clear:

Filmed entirely in high-definition, Life is packed with excitement, revelation, entertainment and a myriad of awe-inspiring feats. The four-disc Blu-ray and DVD sets feature all 11 episodes from Discovery's broadcast, including the spectacular The Making of Life, showcasing the exhaustive, remarkable and record-breaking efforts by the Life filmmaking team to bring this remarkable series to the screen. Exclusive bonus features include deleted scenes, a "music only" viewing option, and Life on Location, a collection of ten astonishing production video diaries further documenting the extraordinary lengths the film crew took to capture the footage in Life.

Yeah, you're right. Here's a little more detail from blu-ray.com:
Just read this on Chud:
The 4-disc Discovery Channel release of Life offers a generous supplemental package; one that goes above and beyond, outclassing similar series on the market with more than two hours of behind-the-scenes documentaries and twenty-minutes of additional footage. The bulk of the material is spread across ten BBC-produced "On Location" mini-docs (Discs 1-4, HD, 99 minutes), each of which digs into the process behind filming such diverse wildlife, the challenges both the documentarians and film crews faced along the way, and the various techniques they employed to capture some of Life's most breathtaking shots. A full-length bonus episode, the aptly titled "The Making of Life" (Disc 4, HD, 42 minutes), expounds upon the team's impressive efforts even further. In it, Oprah Winfrey introduces nature enthusiasts to the experts and cameramen who braved many a dangerous locale to follow and study a myriad of creatures. Finally, a batch of "Deleted Scenes" (Disc 4, HD, 18 minutes) serves up some memorable, series-worthy footage complete with finalized narration.
Just read this on Chud:
Oprah Winfrey is a terrible narrator. She's not the worse narrator ever, but she has a voice that can be only described as a 9th grade ESL student desperately trying to recite the Gettysburg Address...Oprah understands that she has to pull the viewers into the action, but she finds this weird way of performing such actions. I'd go so far as to say that she turns into Brian Fellows.

I ordered "The Nazis: A Warning from History", its supposed to be a great documentary series. With the BBC sale and the GSA coupon, I got it for $13 and change.

Argh! I forgot to try to place some orders last night for June 1 releases with the coupon before it expired. I knew I'd forget. Such a narrow window...

I'll leave the gsa coupon on the list until it actually expires. It was the only coupon that was supposed to expire last night that is still coming up active when tested this morning. All the other coupons were expired and have been removed.

The Complete series of Leave it to Beaver dropped to $113.99 today. Even though you can't use coupons because it's a pre-order the GSA link should cut another 11% off the price.

11:22 AM PST and the GSA coupon is still working. Just used it on the 6-disc Naruto Uncut: Season 1 (aka Season One, Vol. 1) for $15.65 shipped (before taxes). Half off of Amazon's price.

The John Adams set is tempting at 29.99 SD and 39.99 BD before coupons and discounts, but the reviews I've read are mixed so I've held off.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
John Adams Blu-ray was available around Thanksgiving last year for like $22.99 from Amazon. I'd hold off, I'm sure it will go down cheaper again, even if it's not that cheap.

That is likely because it is out of stock at the moment. It keeps going in and out of stock though, so try again shortly.

I tried creating a new account and still, the GSA coupon comes up as invalid. It says the coupon expired at 3am EST today. So, how are people still using it now?
