Thought I would give the thread a bump. Also a new one day coupon to use at the library bookstore.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/help/h...0&popupclose=0

Online Coupon B7P6F2K Details:

For each customer, this coupon can be redeemed once online at www.bn.com/library.

This coupon is valid February 10, 2009 12AM-11:59 PM Eastern Time.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I decided to order from B&N a few weeks ago during the b2g1 sale and I am not sure the $10 I saved was worth it. 2 out of the 3 box sets I ordered were in stock and the free one was out of stock. They decided to ship out one box set and while waiting for the free one to come back in stock, the other box set went out of stock.

Also wtf is with their cheap packaging? They use those cardboard envelope type things. My one box set arrived damaged from being smashed. Couldn't they at least have used some bubblewrap???

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I find their packaging to be YMMV. I've had a CD come in the tiniest cardboard mailer I've ever seen. It had case damage. I've had 1 BR season set come in a "gigantic" box 1'x1.5'x0.5' with those air pockets. Weird.

Coupon list updated. Added several new 15% online coupons for members and non-members that should get activated later in the week.

This set seems to be easy to find cheap for some reason. It sounds like a great deal, but I wonder why the amazon marketplace is full of them. Did you buy it in-store or online? Online it is sold out now, so either you got one of the last ones, or you found it that cheap in-store...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I'm all for making B&N a sticky thread, but it should be Lasermovies that has control of the first post. Without being able to update the first post, it severely hurts the usefulness of the thread.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

The other thread is locked now, and the posts people made were deleted. So now it is even more worthless, since we can't even post there. So I guess we're keeping this thread after all!

I didn't even notice the new thread. Are they intending to replace this one with it eventually? Strange it was locked.

We were posting in there earlier, saying it was bad that you couldn't edit the first post, so we wanted to keep this thread going instead. They deleted all of our posts and locked it. Now that thread is completely pointless...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I want to thank Laser once more as well. My membership runs out in May and I'm not going to renew it, but until then I'm checking my wishlist every day and about once every 2 to 3 weeks I'm finding something with a good enough initial discount to make it worth my while. Adding these coupons to the price is definitely saving me some decent coin. So thanks again for all the hard work you put into this thread, Laser!

The current title in the new thread indicating there are DVD coupons is very misleading since there are no coupons posted in it. If the person who started the thread wants to take this over I wish they would let me know if that is their intention. I assume the deleted posts and locked thread was a clear answer they do not want me involved with it, but it is confusing having two threads with similar titles in the same forum area. Since that one is a sticky I would assume people not familiar with this thread will go looking there for coupons, and no doubt be disappointed to find only a few B&N DVD sales. I agree the new thread is pointless the way it currently is at the moment.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I assume the person who created the new thread works for Internet Brands, and that B&N is now a sponsor. It would have been smart to make THIS thread a sticky, and then that person could post whatever sale links they want to in this thread. People would actually read THIS thread because it is useful, and then we'd see the sale links. I have no intention of looking in that other thread ever again!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

You're probably right about IB and B&N. They could have either made this thread a sticky, or merged it with the other one. I think mods can combine parts or complete threads together. It also wouldn't be too hard to just cut and paste the first post into a new thread and start over. However it doesn't appear IB wants to do that if they deleted posts and locked the thread after several posts requesting making it a sticky thread. Oh well I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, or beg IB into doing it. It's easy enough for me to find this thread since I bookmarked it. One click and I'm on the first page without having to search for it.

LASER - I also wanted to voice my thanks for your work in this thread. B&N should thank you because I certainly would not keep my membership without your frequent coupon updates.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Many, many thanks, Laser. I'll echo bubba's (and other's) comments...without your work on this thread, I would never have kept a B&N membership.

Thank you for your hard work in posting the coupons that, combined with the occasional sales, make B&N worthwhile.

Always know that you are appreciated greatly! All of us who have benefited from your generosity should chip in & buy you a gift (or at least a paid B&N membership).

In agreement, there is no reason for that new thread to be a sticky when this thread has been around for a long time and is well appreciated.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Has anyone ever had luck using a coupon on a pre-order when it clearly states that PO's are not eligible?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I have not had any luck getting coupons to work with pre-orders since B&N started making pre-orders not eligible.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

The poster of the other thread either works for the forum or is trying to pull posting affiliate links because that is what they look like to me.

I see no reason not to just let Lasermovies be the manager of the thread because he has the insight into all the codes.

I just found out that these great coupons also work to be combined with Bing and free expediated shipping! I just ordered something that way and it has been shipped. Hope this can help out someone.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thought I should mention a 20% coupon is coming later in the week but appears if it's only valid for one day. Looks like you can only use it through the library bookstore link on March 20. Here are the details below.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/email/...?r=1&PID=33335

Online Coupon W7L3D1B Details:

For each customer, this coupon can be redeemed once online at www.bn.com/library.

This coupon is valid on March 20, 2010.

The 20% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other eligible discounts, including (if applicable) the standard Member discount, are applied.

Additional Rules Governing Use of this Coupon:
This coupon is (i) not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents (including Gift Cards and online Gift Certificates); (ii) not valid on past purchases; (iii) not eligible for purchases of the following products and services: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, gift-wrapping, textbooks, digital content (including but not limited to digital books, magazines, and periodicals), nook™ and related accessories, other hardware and electronics, software, products available for pre-order, products from the Rosetta Stone Series, shipping or handling expenses, or products marked as not eligible for “coupons or promotional discounts;" (iv) not valid on purchases made from third parties accessible from the BN.com website (e.g., used books, PC and video games, etc.); (v) may not be combined with any other coupon; and (vi) may not be combined with the Educator program discount. This coupon is not valid at Barnes & Noble or Barnes & Noble College retail bookstore. Void where prohibited by law.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks for the continued updates, Laser! I just used one of the 15% Off codes, and will certainly use the 20% Off code this coming Saturday.
