I forget, how do we make printable store coupons for the 2 new coupons that will be active next week that are linked on the front page?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Likely the same as this weeks pair -- you can't make a printable coupon, you just have to give them the code or hand them the instructions.
Same as with the texted Buzz codes a couple years ago. Many people don't even print the emailed codes and just hand the codes to the cashier and let them type it in. 6 digits is not too bad, but if you have 3 or 4 13 digits codes it's gets a little tedious for me and surely the clerks can't be that happy. Everybody knows you want to keep your buddies happy

Yes, the first post, thanks. You worded everything fine, a coupon without a bar code is new to me, that's the part I couldn't comprehend. Can't say I've used one before. Always a first time...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Could someone help clarify this for me:
I thought that B&N changed the terms of its two month trial offer but I don't see anything to confirm it. Can you cancel without penalty EVEN if you've taken advantage of member discounts? If so then it's better than the full membership: "We will refund your Membership fee if you did not use your Membership to obtain an eligible discount or benefit and you cancel your Membership during the first thirty (30) days".

Has anyone tried to use the $8 off $40 membership coupon more than once... and did if work, please? I have a feeling I was told that it's tied to the card and is once only, but..

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Had a curious experience this morning at my local: I took 5 titles from the 50% Off Art House Films sale up to check out. More concerned about coupon use, the total didn't even register with me until I got to the car and checked my receipt. I then found that 4 of the 5 titles rang up at full price, with only the member discount & coupons coming off.
I went back inside and spoke with the manager, who informed me that unlike the Criterion sale, the Art House sale prices listed on the website do not necessarily comport to in-store prices. This is the first I have heard of this, and wanted to caution others not to expect the Art House titles listed on the website to be priced the same in-store.

It has been that way for as long as the site has been up. Was mentioned previously by a few and me.
The Web site also doesn't give members the extra 10% discount.
It's exactly like when BB considered theweb site seperate from the store.

I know very well B&N's website and store prices always vary wildly. My recollection is that the Art House sale was linked to the the Criterion sale - same prices in-store as online.

Thats what I was trying to say. The prices for CC arent alsays the same onli e and in store either.
Only thi g thst matches is whatever the sale is.
Unless stated otherwise the CC 50% sale is alway on line and instore, justnot the same prices. Same as BB was in the past.

^ I'm not sure what you are trying to say.
CC prices are always 50% off MSRP in-store and online during the semi-annual sales. Thus, the prices are the same. The YMMV comes with membership discount and coupon use.
My point was that the Art House sale has always seemed to be part-and-parcel of the CC sale (or vice versa), and I was under the impression that the deal was the same, i.e., 50% off MSRP.

You arent reading what I wrote.
The discount is the same but not the actual prices.
You may see the in store price as
Ah screw it.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
The art house sale and Criterion sale are not 100% linked. For example during the July criterion sale, Kino titles were also 50%, but only for like the first or second week. In particular, when they extended the Criterion sale for the extra week (which they seem to do for every sale, at least for the last year or so) they did NOT extend the sale for other art house titles.

Our Barnes & Noble had either been picked over or is falling behind in its selection... I had first, second and third choices; none were on the shelves..!
So with credit to hariseldon, some 15% codes up for grabs for the next few hours:

Pretty sure you do. I have a card with Virtual numbers so those were accepted even with the same Master and same Billing address. I haven't had a Trial in about 3 years, but I do remember trying to do the same card as a previous membership and getting denied the trial.

Same here selection-wise. Good selection early in the week, thoroughly picked-over by the weekend. I find the stores tend to have better stock later in the sale as many buyers have already made their sale purchases (my theory).

Oh my. I've been trying to resist ordering the Zatoichi set, but 40% off would be just too good of a deal to pass up.
