Most of my cashiers would always allow 1 coupon per item although some wouldn't do 2 of the same coupon (2 of the 20% plus a 5off for 3 itmem). It seems like the one time I did get them to try 3 of the percent off coupons for 3 Blurays and then scan the $5 off, the compute ended up auto-deleting one of the % off coupons.

Sorry, no I meant using both the $8/$40 and $5/$50 coupons in 1 transaction (with more than 1 item). Both of those coupons are part of the "New Member Welcome Bonus Savings Offer", unlike the % off coupons, and the language in the fine print seems to specifically state that they can only be combined with the other coupons from the Welcome coupons, but not with any others, like the % off ones.

I was considering trying to use both coupons on something like Shoah ($100 list = $50 during the CC sale), which meets the $40 threshold for the $8/$40, plus a regular $39.99 CC. After the 10% member discount and $8 coupon those 2 titles should total around $55.

Since that would be >$50, I would then also add the $5/$50 coupon to bring the pre-tax total down to around $50.

I think you are not supposed to be able to combine either of the Welcome coupons with any non-Welcome ones, like the % off ones.

That's what I meant since the question I was addressing was specifically asking about using the coupons online. If you noticed the latest version of the new membership enrollment coupons have different online coupon codes for each offer, compared to previous ones that used a single online coupon code that applied to all offers. In the past you could stack all the offers on a single purchase. Now you have to do them on separate orders for each coupon online at B&N.com.

However I did mention in another post I don't know if it was changed for the store coupons. You still might be able to stack the $8 and $5 coupons on a store purchase. If you got Shoah, which is over $40 along with another title to get it over the $50 threshold it might still scan both the $8 and $5 coupons at the register.

Do I need to print out the coupon or can I just show it on a phone? Also, I just started a trial membership a few days ago, I'm guessing I'll still be OK using the 5/$50 even though it says it's for a membership purchased between April 22 and June 26

I haven't tried it since I don't own a phone but have heard some have had success showing it. The purchase date of the membership usually doesn't seem to matter but it is possible they could use it as an excuse to deny it. However they could come up with other reasons besides the date if you run across an unreasonable employee. It has always been a huge ymmv with the coupons at stores.

I used my GS3 and showed the coupons directly from the link in the DVD BN coupon thread in the first post.
Used a 5/50 and a 8/40.

She did two seperate transactions so I could use both coupons.

Basically it should be please come in to these stores because they're probably going to close within the next year.

Oh well, hopefully we'll see at least one coupon during the Criterion sale.

I bet you're right! Those are the stores on the bubble! My stores are not listed. So no 20% off for me...

My stores have allowed me to use coupons from the phone, but I suppose it is YMMV.

I only tried this once, but it worked. I told the CR that I got a coupon in the mail, but my printer was broken (both were true at the time). I gave her the coupon code, she entered it manually and it was accepted.

Thanks, they are not sending me any at all so I have no idea when they are out. They have lost a lot of my business.

If you are not receiving any coupons I would suggest signing up with different email addresses. I have one email address that B&N will not send anything to it regardless how many times I try to sign up. To get around it I had to use different email addresses.

Looks like there are some new coupons coming this week. However ran across two different member coupons with different expiration dates. I wonder if B&N is planning to send members 2 coupons this week?

I miss when the mystery coupons were crack-able and you could print out as many 50% coupons as you wanted. Of course, it got old trying to act surprised 17 times over the course of four days.

Did you try to use it on criterion titles? They have it on the page of each title that you cannot use coupons.

----------

And, also, if anyone doesn't use their coupon I'd take it (the link to print the coupon) off your hands. Of course, I did not/have not gotten one.

Nope. Going for an eligible CD. It's a different message than the "item not eligible" one.

I emailed them and it appears to now be "turned on" and working for the same CD. :)
