Mini FAQ

Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

However my question is if the 15% discount is over riding the 10% members discount with the $5 off coupons? I thought if you logged in with a members account it might negate the 15% offer. I'm going to have to look for some things to buy if it does. Actually I wonder if you would save more by going through live.com since you can stack a 10% members discount with the 10% rebate they offer. I guess I will have to find something to buy and figure it out.
No, the member discount is NOT negating the 15% off. It is taking the greater discount...
You are probably right about live.com but I'd rather not wait for my cash back...
What B1G1F offers are you talking about?

I may do an order with a $5 off coupon and get some blu-ray titles that are on sale and a CD. I was going to try and use the 20% Master Card coupon but the DVD I wanted ended up getting hit with a shipping charge. That killed that idea unless I can find something else that will qualify for free shipping.

Besides the the other offers mentioned with $5 off coupons there are 2 more that will stack with it. You can get some books and quamut charts. I cut and pasted the offers below from the link. I didn't add these to the coupon list on the first page since I didn't think there would be much interest, and to save a little space since there is already quite a lot of area taken up by the $5 coupons on the list.

Buy 1 Get 1 Free Barnes & Noble Classics [Minimum Value of $3.95]: When you purchase two (2) or more qualifying paperback editions with the "Barnes & Noble Classics," or "Barnes & Noble Classics Sale" icons, you get the least expensive paperback free. Offer not valid on hardcover editions of Barnes & Noble Classics. Offer subject to availability.

Buy 1 Get 1 Free Quamut Chart [Value of $5.95]: When you purchase two (2) or more hard copy (or physical) charts from our Quamut series, you get the least expensive Quamut free. Downloadable charts are not included. Offer subject to availability.

Here's what I ordered with the 15% discount and $5 off coupon. Actually make that a $15 off coupon. Doesn't include my extra 5% MC discount which drops the price a few more dollars.

Zodiac Blu-ray - Director's Cut / Discount -$9.82 Total Price $12.37
Super Speedway Blu-ray/ Discount -$3.62 Total Price $11.37
First Knight Blu-ray - Special Edition / Discount -$4.20 Total Price $13.19

Shipment Subtotal: $41.48
Shipping & Handling: FREE
Sales Tax: $3.62

Shipment Total: $45.10
ORDER TOTAL: $45.10

DAMMIT!!! I really wish I had known about the quamut charts B1G1F!

OK, I I'll admit it... I have no friggin idea what a quamut chart is...

I like the $5, er, $15 coupon even more now. I never tried to use it for a triple deal before, but it worked pretty well. Keep em coming, B&N!

I can't get the $5 off $40 coupon (P8L9L9H) to apply even though I have over $50 worth of blu-rays in my cart. Is that the right code?

Yes that is the code I used earlier today to get $15 off my order. Are you a B&N member and any of the blu-rays pre-orders?

I had no idea either what a quamut chart was until I looked them up on the B&N web site. Don't believe it is something I would ever buy even with a B1G1F offer.

okay, I didn't notice it was for B&N members. I went ahead and put in an order, picked up Hot Rod, 13 Going On 30, Hunt For Red October/Clear & Present Danger, Hustle&Flow/Black Snake Moan. Average around $11 a piece.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thought I would give the thread a bump since it has fallen a few pages from the first. Also I ran across a new 20% online coupon that is valid for everyone starting Monday. The coupon is valid from April 27, 2009 to May 3, 2009. Non-members should be able to combine it with the 10% Working Advantage discount offer running through the end of April.

Thanks Laser! I've been waiting patiently for another 20% off coupon. Seems like it's been forever (other than the renewals and B&N Mastercard ones). Now I have to think about what I'm going to apply it to.

Sort of surprised to run across it since it has been a while since B&N has issued a 20% or greater coupon anyone can use. Hopefully it's not the last.

Edit: I just ran a test with the coupon and it is already working. Not sure if it will continue to work until the official start date but you can use it now.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I got this with the 20% coupoon (didn't work for me) - For each valid and current Barnes & Noble Member account, your Savings Card can be redeemed once at any Barnes & Noble retail store and once online at bn.com. This Savings Card is valid only in conjunction with the renewal of an existing Membership.

Maybe you need to follow the link on the first page? I had no problems using H4E7B3W with a non-member account. And the details of the code do not match what you wrote above.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

It should work through any link. I went through live.com to use it on a members account. It is possible B&N may temporarily deactivate the coupon since it is working early. Here is the fine print on the coupon details.

http://cart2.barnesandnoble.com/shop...1&promoid=6051

*Online Coupon H4E7B3W Details:
For each customer, this coupon can be redeemed once at online at bn.com.

This coupon is valid from April 27, 2009 to May 3, 2009 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time.

bn.com: The 20% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other discounts, including (if applicable) the standard Member discount, are applied.

Additional Rules Governing Use of this Coupon: This coupon is (i) not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents (including Gift Cards and online Gift Certificates); (ii) not valid on past purchases; (iii) not eligible for purchases of the following products and services: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, gift-wrapping, textbooks, products from the Rosetta Stone Series, shipping or handling expenses, or products marked as "not eligible for Member discounts, coupons or promotional discounts;" (iv) not valid on purchases made from third parties accessible from the bn.com website (e.g., used books, PC and video games, etc.); and (v) may not be combined with any other coupon. This coupon is not valid at Barnes & Noble retail stores or Barnes & Noble College Bookstores. Void where prohibited by law.

I just used it with my B&N account for a June pre-order ("Playing Shakespeare"). It got a nice review from Jeffrey Kauffman http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/37019...peare/?___rd=1. Paid $53.33 with tax - it's $71.99 at Amazon. Thanks Laser!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

If I'm reading right, C7D4K7E expires tonight, and should take $10 off a an order including both a CD and a $45 purchase AFTER member discounts and BEFORE the CD discount. (Am I right so far?)

For me, that coupon only takes $5 off such an order. Very strange...any ideas? I have books 9781591842248 , 9780553806847 , 9780316027656 in my cart, along with Pink's _Funhouse_ CD.

TIA for any help.

The coupon should stack with one or all of the offers listed. However I noticed one of the items you have is a pre-order. The coupon is not valid for pre-orders. You will need to find something else to substitute to get the coupon to deduct the $10 off.

Buy a DVD of $15 or more before members discount, a CD $10 or more, and purchase $40 or more of additional merchandise like books, CDS, or DVDs. If the items are eligible the coupon should stack with all the offers and you should see a $15 discount in addition to your members discount.

I should add if you go through live.com you can also earn an extra 10% cashback rebate since the order total should be large enough to qualify for free shipping.

That was it. Worked like a charm after. Thank you!

_The Golden Girls_ sets are a good value with this coupon, as they are a good buy at $16 (less with member discount).

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

It should also be noted that you won't see a flat $15 discount. You'll see $5 taken off of a DVD, $5 off of a CD, and at the bottom an additional $5 discount will appear...
