Amazing that for such a hated movie this thread has gotten so many views.
It is now ranked #2 in the Top 100 Pre-Orders.

Oh, torture and degradation are "art". I guess Saw and Hostel are "art" as well. If you say so.

Personally, I'm buying it without having seen it because I like watching controversial movies.

Oh man, I'm gunna buy several copies and then turn around and sell each for $500 on ebay! My Genius is unlimited...

From what I've heard about this film I'll most likely be disappointed with a purchase. What are the odds that netflix will carry this?

I have no desire to see Salo again, but as with Caligula, I am curious about the retrospective extras.

Seems odd that Amazon hasn't updated with this or the other August Criterion releases.

I was ready to pay the shipping charge at Empire because I didn't see anything else I needed (at their prices). Instead, DeepDiscount got my order since I don't think it'll ever get any cheaper...remember the 20% off sale doesn't include pre-orders.
Never seen DD pre-sell Criterions with such a heavy discount.

So, will DVDempire whack me for shipping, if I cancel the Salo portion of my order with them? I bought three discs to capitalize on the free shipping, 2 of which, in stock, shipped out, Salo, still waiting upon release...
