The store in Roseville ,Ca also had:
--Henry Fonda($15.16 at Amazon)reg cases

Tracy & Hepburn: The Signature Collection (Pat and Mike / Adam's Rib / Woman of the Year / The Spencer Tracy Legacy) (2004)reg cases

Humphrey Bogart - The Signature Collection, Vol. 2 (The Maltese Falcon Three-Disc Special Edition / Across the Pacific / Action in the North Atlantic / All Through the Night / Passage to Marseille) (2006) slim cases

The Bogart set is A great deal.Seems it goes for over $50 online.

I also bought the Preston Sturges set last month.Good thing about Costco you can always return unopen sets if you decide you don't want to keep it.

Are you sure the Gidget set includes the Sally Field movie? The one I've got has the Sandra Dee version, plus Gidget Goes Hawaiian and Gidget Goes to Rome (a truly wretched movie). But not the 1965 Sally Field version.

Steve, the Sally Field GIDGET TV series is in a separate DVD set from the three GIDGET feature films you mentioned and I did see it at Costco as has been reported, but that was weeks ago. I also saw the three feature film set for sale there, but be aware that only the Sandra Dee film is widescreen, the other two are full screen.

And yes, ROME is terrible.

Did yours have Set 3 of Charlie Chan? I already had 1 and 2 and bought 4 and 5 two weeks ago. I have going back every day or other day and still no set 3.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Ernest, Vol. 3 was at my Costco in Burbank, CA, but only one copy and that was two weeks ago. I wonder if it's a tough one to find. I wish I could afford all these, but even at $17.99 they are too expensive for me right now.

The Gilligan's Island set from Costco is the newer one with 17 disc(2011) single side disc not the older 9 disc set(flippers)
Amazon has the 2011 listed as Full screen and 2007 listed as being Widescreen.
Not sure if this info is correct.Would like to find more info about this set, somewhere else besides Amazon.

These sets were $32.99 about 6 months ago.Great prices.

I decide to buy these sets from Amazon because of lower prices, and it seem the Costco in Albany,Or does not stock their media section as good as other Costco in bigger cites. Also the 3 I bought from Amazon had the outer box.

Marlene Dietrich and Carole Lombard sets are both under $10 now.
Mae west is $13.99,but has been under $13.00 in the pass.

Thanks for the heads-up. I picked up Gilligan's Island. I think that's the cheapest it's been anywhere I've seen.
