My local Costco has the new Blu-ray Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection for $164, and the Blue-ray Alien Anthology for $30. Picked up both. Christmas is coming.

I Love Lucy Season Sets for $12.99 each. Same new packaging that was exclusive to Target. Presumably these will have the remastered Season 1 set that was previously only available in the complete series box set. It was included in the exclusive Target sets and these appear to be the same.

Thanks bought Wuthering Heights,I didn't know it was OOP.
I think it was just release this year by WB though.
And more to come.

I own the MGM release of Best Years of Our Lives(2000).but I'm going to buy this newer version too.I doubt it makes it to blu-ray anytime soon.

Seeking to boost its relatively healthy business for classic movies on DVD, Warner Bros. has signed a multi-year deal to release 73 classic films produced by industry legend Samuel Goldwyn.

Among the titles Warner is buying from the producer's son Samuel Goldwyn Jr. are best picture Academy Award winner "The Best Years of Our Lives," the Lou Gehrig biopic "Pride of the Yankees" with Gary Cooper, the musical "Guys and Dolls" with Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra, and Danny Kaye's "Hans Christian Andersen."


Great deal.I bought all these sets years ago,most if not all from Target.
I think most of them were around $10 for just one set.

Classic Films

The release at Costco is the first release of Wuthering Heights since it was released by HBO many years ago. This is the Warner Bros release mentioned in your quote. It is currently a Costco exclusive but will be released elsewhere soon. The first film to be released everywhere under the Warner Bros deal was Guys and Dolls in blu on November 6. Hans Christian Andersen follows on December 18 also in blu.

The Cary Grant set has some bad reviews regarding questionable claims on the digital remastering of the discs and that some of them looked as bad as public domain sets. But these reviews are from 2003 and the cover art of this Costco set has a different photo of Cary Grant. Am guessing these have been corrected since then. I am not watching all of them tonight to prove this point :-)

I saw the 6 volume Looney Tunes Golden Collection Box set. Price was not marked It scanned at $79.99 which is $20 less than last year.

It was around that price weeks before Black Friday. So it would hopefully still be that price unless Costco raised the price after Black Friday.

Picked this up today and on the receipt there was -3.00 off the 12.99 price so it was 9.99. I dont remember seeing any signs or it being in the coupon book they send out. Are the other sets -3.00 off? or just this one? The receipt has..
