Re: General Costco DVD Thread
In my local store (Clackamas, OR), I just picked up three new (to the store) sets:
Ray Harryhausen Legendary Monster Series (3 Worlds of Gulliver, Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts)
Icons of Horror Collection -- Boris Karloff (The Black Room, The Man they Could Not Hang, Before I Hang, The Boogie Man Will Get You)
Icons of Horror Collection -- Hammer Films (The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, Scream of Fear, The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll, The Gorgon)
Each for $16.99.
They also had a Tojo Collection for $19.99.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread
Just got back from Costco today.
They had the Karloff, Hammer and Toho sets for $16.99 each (but no sign of a Harryhausen one.)
And look closely at the Mackenna's Gold and The Mountain Men DVDs. Sony originally released them with both widescreen and fullscreen version on one DVD. Unfortunately, they re-released them as fullscreen only, which were the versions I found here.

For nature doc fans, saw the Water Life series yesterday. Had Blu-rays (sold separately) but didn't notice the price. These I've spotted before. I also noticed, for the first time, the six-disc standard DVD box set of the complete series for $19.99. I got it from DD for something like $26 and thought that was cheap.

Id like to mention that the Futurama Complete collection is the one that comes in Benders Head. Wanted to put down the $100 just for that but knowing Costco, there might be coupons coming soon.

It's the smallest I ever seen it at my local Costco, and others here have reported the same at other locations.
Some good deals though on boxsets and TV shows here and their.
Maybe after Halloween they well expand.
They sold fast though.
Item # is 460810 if this helps.

In fact, DVD's and CD's haven't expanded yet either. VERY disappointing.

It must have just showed up when I bought it a few weeks ago. When the cashier saw it, he got all excited and then a couple other workers came over. Everyone remembered the skeleton scene from Arganauts

Re: General Costco DVD Thread
Not exactly a bargain, but for any Anne Of Green Gables fans, Costco seems to be the first store in America selling 'Anne Of Green Gables - A New Beginning' which is the fourth movie in Kevin Sullivan's series. PBS hasn't even got around to airing it yet.
It costs 18.99. Previously, it's only been available on his personal website out of Canada for a ridiculous price like $60 USD.
