House was $16/season on Amazon and at Best Buy for a week or so around Black Friday.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Haven't seen House cheap at Costco, but the various seasons have all been cheap at multiple retailers over the years. I think I got two seasons at FYE when they had them for $15-20 and part of a B1G1F.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Costco had them on sale sometime last year either just before, or at the time season 4 was released. They were normally like $25 and for a week had a $10 off coupon. I picked up seasons 1 - 3 for around $15 each. Season 4 was not on sale or discounted as I recall.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Just picked up season 6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm yesterday for $16.99 at the Honolulu Costco, and they had all the other seasons for the same price. Wish I'd held out and got all of them instead as they came out, but I guess that's the way it goes sometimes.

I'm pretty sure it was $13 and change for the single season sets although I don't recall if it was Costco, Sam's Club, or BJ's that I saw that price.

I got a coupon book in the mail on the 7th despite the fact that the sale started on the 5th. No coupons for DVDs however.

This is quite a deal. I've had great luck with the Sony's and have stuck with them for some time now. Usually I wait for Best Buy sales that come around every couple month, 50 pack for $13. That's $0.26 a disk. The costco deal amounts to $0.15 a disk. For their quality you can't do any better. Of course you have to be willing to get 200 for that deal.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

I saw several Fox 2 movie packs for $9.99.

The ones I remember were

All About Eve (2 disc set)/ Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte
Two For The Road/How To Steel a Million
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes/ Seven Year Inch . There were other Monroe 2 packs including one for Bus Stop . I can't remember what it was paired with. I was A Male War Bride was another film that was part of a set but I don't remember the other film.

There were several others sets.

Also the 2 disc Warner sets for $8.99 seem to be newly restocked. The usual films :
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Yankee Doodle Dandy
The Unforgiven
Chariots of Fire
East of Eden
Giant etc

How to Marry a Millionaire was paired with Bus Stop.
One movie from the other Monroe 2-pack was Monkey Business.
One movie from another Bette Davis 2-pack was The Nanny.

Thanks for joggin' the ole noggin, Classic Films!

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

I Was a Male War Bride is paired with People Will Talk. There's also a second Cary Grant twin pack of Born To Be Bad and Kiss Them for Me. And I think The Nanny was paired with Phone Call from a Stranger.

There was also a new Warner Oscar promotion filled with two-disc special editions for $8.99. I had most of them already, but I picked up Chariots of Fire and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Nice selection, though... Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Around the World in 80 Days, Amadeus, and a few others.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Very nice deal on the new 9-disc Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection at Costco -- $26.99. It also includes a code for 2 free e-Movie Cash certificates (valued at up to $7.50 each) to see the Pink Panther 2. The 9 discs are each packaged in their own slim case within an outer cardboard sleeve.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Are you sure it was the cartoon collection? When I went to Costco yesterday, they had the Pink Panther Film Collection for $26.99. Are some stores getting one or the other?

Tim,

I am quite certain. I bought a copy of the set at Costco, and my daughter has been enjoying Roland and Rattfink ever since.
