yes, the deluxe version is the one you want as I read it has better PQ. Both should be part of the B2G1.

Or alternatively this deal: (Expires 23 Feb)

Then the sale also 'kinda' operates as a B2G2.

Any way to qualify for these rebates without cutting the POP tabs from the covers?

I'm just stunned that this "early" into things that any movie has already been double-dipped on Blu Ray.

Troy has been double dipped also and some would argue that the Fifth Element remaster was a double dip.

I think FMJ would be considered the first true double dip (this also applies to the HD-DVD version). Troy could only be considered a DD with HD-DVD as Blu-Ray didn't have it yet, and it is a different cut in that case. Also you could get the remastered Fifth Element for free by sending back the old one.

As mentioned by my colleague previously, I've requested a refund of
$41.90 to the payment method you used for your original purchase.

This refund should go through within 2 to 3 business days. You
should see it as a credit on your next statement.
You can NOT complain about these people.

at the final checkout, the lowest price should be listed as free. Make sure the movies are listed as part of the deal.

Actually, all items will show their regular price, but at the bottom, it should show a "Promotional Discount" for the price of the lowest price item.

I have a PS3 but no HD-TV, and I'm awfully tempted to pick up Superman II: The Donner Cut, The Road Warrior, and The Dirty Dozen for less than $30 shipped. Road Warrior is the unrated cut with extras not available on R1 SD, and the others have all the special features of the SD at a lower price.

So what happens if you put a Blu-ray in there? Will an SD TV still play it? It must downconvert it, right? I'd go for it since they are essentially cheaper than the SDs.

The PS3 downscales Blu-ray playback onto a standard def TV just fine.

I have several Blu-rays that use extremely small fonts on the setup menus though. Can be hard to read. I think they're trying to show off the resolution with the small text, but it's a nuisance when downscaled.

Can anyone say whether there is significant improvement in Memento when compared to the SD? I realize Sony didn't port over all the extras from the LE, but I'd love this movie in BD if it would look better than upconverted SD. Thanks!

It's not a reference transfer that is going to compete with Cars but it's sizeable improvement over the upconverted dvd. It also has an uncompressed PCM soundtrack.

Thanks. Just ordered along with two others, both of which are also not reference transfers, but well regarded: Big Fish and Million Dollar Baby.
