This happened to me too. I placed orders on Sunday and Monday which included Hellboy and Underworld in one order and Bladerunner in another (you have to love Amazon Prime trials ). I called today as HB and BR were in the sale to see if they would consider back dating the offer. After a very long and confused conversation with the CSR, she announced that she was going to refund my purchase amount for Bladerunner to accomodate the 'one free' aspect of the sale. I pointed out to her that this was the more expensive of the movies, but she insisted she was doing it correctly and I wasn't in a mood to spend another 20 minutes talking to her (she was very nice though). All credit to Amazon that they do seem to have wiggle room on their offers and prices.

I bought 9 blu rays last week, 7 of which are on this friggen list.

What are my chances of getting some money back, or like 3 free Blu Rays?

I bought my Blu-Ray player after the Warner announcement, so I missed out on the BOGOs completely. As such, I'm pretty pleased by some of the deals I got. Picked up:

The Dirty Dozen
Rio Bravo
The Road Warrior
The Getaway
The Cowboys
Good Night and Good Luck
The Departed
Hairspray (shutup, it's for the wife)
Stranger Than Fiction
The Fifth Element
Viva Las Vegas
Jailhouse Rock

Total bill (spread out over 4 orders for maximum discount) was $162.60, or an average of $13.55 each. Not bad.

My question is this-- I ordered "The Searchers" and "Bullitt" from Amazon within the last 30 days, and they're both part of this sale. What's all this talk about sending emails and getting hooked up with freebies?

$15 each move as B2G1 = $10
some are higher, some lower.

300 is 4 dollars more. but yeah, i think most of the current b2g1 is as good as the b1g1. especially since there are more titles to choose from.

Titles included in this sale are:
Casino Royale
Gridiron Gang
Underworld Evolution
Ghost Rider
Talladega Nights
Click

Or alternatively this deal: (Expires 23 Feb)

Included Titles:
Casino Royale

Then the sale also 'kinda' operates as a B2G2.

Yikes. Except for Casino Royale there is nothing I'd want to own. Better off just buying Superbad.

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com with your concern.

I do understand your frustration in this regard.

I am sorry but it is not possible to apply the promotion for this
order. In this case you may return the item for a refund and place a
new order to avail the promotion.

You may return the items you purchased within 30 days of delivery
for a full refund. Just visit our online Returns Center, which will
guide you through the process and even give you a printable return
mailing label:

http://www.amazon.com/returns

To print a return shipping label, follow these steps:

1. Go to the "Your Account" link at the top of our web site
(http://www.amazon.com/your-account).

2. Click "Return items" under "Where's My Stuff?"

3. Enter the requested information, including how you received the
item, the reason for the return, and the quantity.

4. You will then be able to print a pre-addressed return label.

I sent a second email after being denied on the first attempt and I just received a $20 credit for my next order. Here's the email that I just received-

Greetings from Amazon.com,

First, please allow me to extend my most sincere apologies for any frustration this matter has caused. I would like to assure you that I have reviewed all of the previous contacts regarding this matter and I see that our prior communications have not appropriately addressed your concerns. I hope that I can be of some help to you.

After researching your inquiry I was able to see that now there is a promotion to Buy Two Blu-ray Discs, and Get a Third for Free. At the time that your order was placed this promotion was not yet offered. In order to take receive the third movie for free we would need you to place the order during the dates the promotion is offered. I am sorry but per our promotion policy we will not be able to honor your request for a third blue-ray movie for free.

Because your business is important to us and for the misunderstanding, as a one time exception I'd like to give you a $20 promotional certificate for use toward your next Amazon.com order.

This amount has been automatically redeemed onto your account. You will not receive a claim code.

To use your promotional certificate, follow these steps:

1. Add the items you want to your Shopping Cart and click the
"Proceed to Checkout" button to fill out our order form.

2. You should see the promotional funds listed in the order cost
summary that appears just before you submit your order. As
long as the order qualifies, you don't need to do anything
else to receive the promotional discount.

3. If the cost of your purchase exceeds the amount of the
promotional certificate, you will be prompted to provide
your credit card information for the remaining balance.

4. Promotional certificates are subject to certain restrictions.
Please visit the following link for more information:
http://www.amazon.com/promos/

I hope this is informative on how to make sure you can take advantage of future promotions that are offered. Please make sure in the future you are placing the order during the time of the promotion to take advantage as we will not be able to offer this compensation as it is against our policy.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com
