Totally agree! There is NO way we would be buying HD versions of movies for $9.99 shipped via the B1G1 deals if there was no format war. Why on earth would companies drop the prices to these levels without competition.

I am format neutral and personally hope this "war" drags on for years!

I think DVD's themselves also offer some competition, although once a person gets a HD player it becomes less so. I'm hoping that sales are lackluster on HD and strong on cheap DVD so we see HD stuff dropping even quicker.

BB is having a B1G1 starting Sun, so I bet Amazon will have it up again next week with a bunch of new titles

Fry's is also having a Blu-ray BOGO (at least at the Austin Tx location) starting today. The list is fairly short and includes only Sony picture releases.

Yeah, Fry's has the usual stuff on sale, with a few additions (Rent and 50 First Dates mainly).

Notable though, is Fry's has Robocop for $13.99 right now. My store just got 45 copies of it in, so they should have plenty.

Damn, they charge more than 6 bucks for shipping?
