Thanks! I expect that there will be even more BR deals next week when Bourne Ultimatum gets released.

bookcase3 12-04-07 10:34 AM

I wish they would do this for HD DVDs -- it's no wonder that Blu sales are higher.

flix1 12-04-07 10:39 AM

Thank God! There is nothing in the list that I want.

If any more packages show up on my doorstep, I'm afraid my wife might lose it.

I feel the same way. Packages have been showing up almost everyday for the past week and a half. I did however pick up a total of 4 movies on this sale.

TexasDVDer 12-04-07 01:50 PM

Luckily I check the mail and the front porch. I figure what the wife doesn't know won't hurt me!

No kidding. You'd think some people would figure it out by now. Won't hurt to email Toshiba, Universal, and Warner Brothers.

51.08 OTD for 6 Blu Ray Movies, 8.51 total each!

dsa_shea 12-04-07 09:15 PM

Those free movies are like bait to get the sharks into the tank. Seems as if some of the Blu-Ray studios are trying their best to set the hook while the HD-Dvd studios are thumbing their assholes.

These are Warner titles so they probably know

sauce07 12-04-07 11:02 PM

just picked up The Fountain and Purple Rain. When I went to the checkout I discovered a giftcard of $5 bucks I never knew I had. $18 with free shipping. Nice

hellmutt 12-05-07 02:02 AM

Cool, picked up:

Lady in the Water
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Corpse Bridge
Blood Diamond

I'm such a junkie. I bought 4-6 last time, and I was jonsing for when the next one came. I was starting to regret not buying more during the last one. I have a problem.

On the plus side, I only have a week or two left before my 10% off HD wears off, so I gotta buy them while I can!

thomkai 12-05-07 04:32 AM

My first blu-ray disc order! Corpse Bride and Dog Day Afternoon for me. Had a $20 credit which I was using on PS3-Oblivion, and wanted free shipping.

Paying an extra $20 to reach free shipping makes sense, right?

Honestly though, it's a good deal: $10 a disc is what I find acceptable for hi-def.

that was my rationalization. I went way beyond a reasonable budget in the DD/DVD Planet sales, but for $7.98 per title (with that glorious extra 10% off) I won't pass up anything that even remotely piques my interest.

You say that like it's a bad thing :)

I'm trying to resist. I have an unwritten rule about buying on BD movies I already own on DVD (which I've broken for Enter the Dragon & Unforgiven & the Kubricks already so I'm trying to stay strong. But dammit, I love Training Day!).

Please, I'm in for 16 on this sale...I bought 6 yesterday and 10 more just now...Same rationalization on the 10% and price.

I don't even want to think about nor see next months credit card statement. :yack:

I agree. HD DVD needs to wake up and get their asses moving on cheaper discs.

It is so hard to look away from a sub $9 price for this stuff. SO hard.
