I'm assuming Friday 11/9 is when all coupon codes go active for this sale.

Aw, damnation alley! I was going to cancel an Xbox 360 order to see if the 20% would be taken off. Thank goodness I didn't!

Regarding the question in the FAQ about limitations, I'm not sure if this is worth mentioning, however, when I loaded my cart for a test run, I was told there is a 200 products/cart limitation due to security reasons.

I do not recall books being included in the last 20% discount but some books were discounted on their own. I picked up The Complete Calvin and Hobbes Box Set last year for a lower price (currently $92.72) but it was not part of the 20% discount.

Last time, they actually had a lot of book titles already reduced 20% without a code needed, but for a short while, a bug was allowing you to ALSO use the 20% off code as well on the books, so I was able to get 20% on my book order but it was fixed sometime later during the sale to not allow the code to work on books.

Either way, youre better off ordering online with the free shipping cuz we're getting hit with sales tax in IL either way.

if ISBN make sure to use the ISBN-13 and not the ISBN-10, as I have made this mistake and thought they did not carry some items and really did. The ISBN-13 begins with 978.

I always love the anticipation building up to these sales. I've spent the last three Oct and Sep saying, "do I need this or can I wait until the 20% off sale?"

I'm going to pick up the following
Twin Peaks - Gold Box
My So-Called Life - Complete Series
Angel - Complete Series
The Secret World of Alex Mack - Season 1
I Love Lucy - Complete Series
Roseanne - Season 9
Seinfeld - Complete Series
Of course, assuming none experience any large price bumps, though as none of these titles appear to be involved in any special promotions, I don't expect it.
Last year I thought "Oh man, they raised the price on the Tremors Attack Pack the day before the sale!" before doing some research and discovering it had been part of a UNIVERSAL FRANCHISE sale DD had been having for two weeks before their 20% off sale. I think the only time price hikes happened was November 2005, and even then DD ended up lowering the prices when people complained. I recall LOST: Season 1, and ALIAS: Season 4 being among the titles that experienced a price jump and then just a day or so later DD lowered them significantly. I've always found DD to be very fair with this deal. Like any other promotion you should always do your research to find the best price. I'm just glad they continue to offer the sale every six months. I'm aching for Seinfeld, Angel, Peaks, and Life... considering I sold my previous sets nearly 5 months ago... I need my fix of all of 'em.
