It says it on the back, but you'll know it's the two-disc set when you see it. It comes in a double digipack so it really sticks out.

i really don't understand why people are so desperate to get someone to ship this to them because they can't find it...columbia house has it for $0.49 (and please don't lecture me about thread crapping or being pro-CH...i'm just trying to help people out who want EFNY for cheap).

I think it would be so much easier if they were all spined so you could quickly make your way through it but oh well, at least they're only 5 bucks. I'm willing to dig.
It's like that at the FYE I work at with dumpbins as well, at Corporate's request. Like you said, it's precisely because of the "treasure hunter" mentality.

As far as my local Wal*Mart goes, originally, they only had one copy of the EFNY: SE (which I promptly snatched up). About two weeks later, the bin was overflowing with them.

I keep reading this yet all 3 WM's in my area have 0 copies... Is it just making its sweet time to Oregon or something?

I finally found the SE of Escape From New York this evening at the local Wal-Mart. This was probably the forth or fifth time I have looked since it was first mentioned in this thread. They had a total of two copies.

Mine also had a sticker on front indicating it was a 2-disc set.

Yeah, and there are plenty of people who don't belong to Columbia House (for whatever reason), therefore, it being 49 cents there means absolutely nothing to them (including me).

I got a copy of the 2-disc version of EFNY at the southernmost WM on 82nd Avenue (the one south of Johnson Creek Blvd) a couple of weeks ago. There were several there then.

I've been waiting for more copies of the Terminator 3 two-disc set to show up in my area. I found one one night and thought this is cool, I could complete my set with this but decided to think about it instead of just buying it. It never occurred to me that it might be the only one in the bin. I went back the next day and couldn't find any. That was over a month ago. Still none... but I did find the EFNY 2 disc set. I'm still seeing those from time to time. Lesson learned though. Just buy it now and think about whether you want to keep it later.

Perhaps it will make its way down I-5 to the Eugene/Springfield area then, lol.

Oh and "MoistureFarmer", be careful because the times I've seen T3, they were Full Screen (IIRC)...

the T3 were $4.88 during the Father's Day display which they took down. I've seen some which just must of been thrown in the bin.

I found one in the 2for10 bin (not the $5 display) at the W. 11th store yesterday afternoon. It was right on top, so I don't how many are still in there (in any.)

Ok, thanks. I hate that store because (last time I was there) they only have one side filled, the other has candy... But I'm going to head over and see if there are anymore.

Well, I give up. I checked the entire bin and nothing. On my way home, I stopped by the Super WM in Springfield and nothing there either. Instead they had a million copies of The Running Man, some Iwo Jima documentary and John Wayne collection (or w/e it was). Thanks WM, you're the best!

And no Widescreen 2-pack of Hot Fuzz either, though that's not too surprising...

I got Running Man SE, T2 Extreme, American Psycho Uncut, and Truman Show SE from the Wal in Washington. All for $20 bucks. I'd say thats a good deal. They also had some other good DVD's like American Beauty, but they were Foolscreen, so I skipped em.

Is the John Wayne collection DVD you saw this 20 movie/4 DVD set, or Donovan's Reef (It had "The John Wayne Collection" on the cover.), because I saw alot of both of these.

I found no EFNY 2-disc set, but I picked up the only copy of The Running Man SE they had.

They also had:

Once Upon A Time In The West (2-Disc Special Collector's Edition)
The Doors (2-Disc Special Edition)
High Tension (Widescreen, Unrated Edition)

I also found 2 copies of 300 in the bin, but I think somebody decided to not get it and just toss them in there.

Had to do more shopping so stopped by again and indeed they had Escape from New York... THE ONE FRIGGIN DISC VERSION!!! Bastards. Looked like some were added but after digging around a bit, still nothing.

As for the John Wayne DVD, I don't remember which one it was.

Just got back from Wal Mart, I went in there looking for the 2-disc Hot Fuzz, which they didn't have, and stumbled upon the $5 bin. EFNY 2-disc jumped right out at me, I wasn't even looking for it, I haven't even seen it before, but all the rave people in this thread are giving it, I grabbed it along with The Running Man 2-disc. I only saw one of the 2-disc EFNY and one 1-disc.

Just got back from WM. Picked up the EFNY 2 disc, Running Man SE, and American Psycho. They had a ton of the T2 Extreme Editions, T3, Reservoir Dogs SEs, and 12 Monkeys.

I wish I had checked for T3, but I forgot. I wasn't originally going to buy it, but I have parts 1&2, so for $5 it would definitely be worth it for completion purposes.
