At Dvdplanet my order came to 82.71 after using the -7.00 off code and
-5.00 off award money and I went with standard shipping which was 4.80 more than the media mail free shipping.

Thanks for posting, I've been wanting to check out the Idi Amin doc.
I went with Deep Discount (17.97) to avoid the temptation of spending more to get free shipping or to use a coupon.

The cheaper one is the shorter theatrical cut; the more expensive is a 5-disc set with both theatrical and television cuts, along with a load of additional features. It's WELL worth the extra cost to get the bigger release. One of my favorite DVDs!

A sale like this doesn't happen every couple of months, so I'm probably going to spend more than I should here...
So far I ordered:
Army of Shadows
Sansho the Bailiff
Fires on the Plain
The Burmese Harp
add a $7 off coupon for a total of $76.88
And I'll probably make a few other orders before the end of the sale.

I wouldn't get it man. I don't even know why it got a Criterion. Go for something better.

Ugh! I just ordered some CC last week or so and got 2 of them yesterday with the Complete Monterey Pop set en route to me. Well at least I used the $10 GCO savings for some orders and blew 1000 bonus points to cover most of the Monterey set.
By the way, I got the new Bicycle Thieves a while back and that is one gorgeous edition. I'll see what else I need soon.

Do you like Slacker, Tapeheads, Withnail & I, movies by Whit Stillman, Eric Schaeffer, Wes Anderson, and Hal Hartley (not to mention The Squid and the Whale and Mr. Jealously if you've seen them)? If so, it's at least a must-rent. If not, you probably want to skip it.
It's far from a perfect film but personally I love it, FWIW.

Has anybody seen the upcoming version of the Third Man at DVDPlanet or DDD?
