The store needs to see a coupon with the bar code.
Providing the number was not enough.
May be someone posted a scan...anyone knows?

They have already answered your question. There is no coupon/scan available as far as we know. You can use the coupon code to order online. The "number" was not intended for in-store use when provided by people in this thread.

There is no scan, and even if there was, I doubt they'd accept it. The promotion was mailed on a STICKER to avoid fraud. Scanning it would be just that. There are better prices online for most items, anyway, so just use the online code...

OK, thx
Actually, I saw the in-store number in a clarifying BN communication or in their website, not in this thread

I walked out of BN tonight with Seinfeld for $120 after tax.
I used two pieces of paper - one with membership # I got when ordering Star Trek TNG with the %50 code last nite, and the other with the coupon details.
Girl just typed in the number in the details and it worked like a charm.

Got my Seinfeld set today, thanks again Kenbenobi. Deal of the year for me, plus I have a membership now so I will be able to get in on better deals later!

Huge YMMV on that, but congrats on pulling it off in-store...

What code did you use?

Was it P7N6J9K?

Did you just have a printout or did you just take the code?

I wonder where that price came from. Usually DVD's over $40 are 10% off in store, so that would match the online price of $255.55. With the coupon, it would be $102.22. Even if they went off of MSRP, it should be $113.58 before tax. To reach $115.01 their regular price would have to be $287.53. It sounds like they didn't do something right. It's still a good deal, just strange...

283.99 * .9 *.9 *. 5

%10 off, then 10% members, then 50% off coupon. 10% then 50% is a little different than 60%

Oh, OK. That isn't correct, but it explains where the number comes from. The 50% discount is supposed to be ADDED to the member discount, so 60% off of the regular price. So it should have been 283.99 x .9 x .4 which is how the website does it and how all store coupons have worked for me in the past. This leads me to believe that they manually took 50% off, instead of actually using the coupon code.

I see online that you can only have one membership per an account. You guys created 2nd accounts to use the deal more than once, or is there a way around this?

B&N 50% coupon page

Through a Google search I found this link to a semi-official-looking version of this offer on the B&N site. There's no bar code, but this will probably play better in the store than printing out a forum post if that's what people are doing:

The Barnes and Nobles around us don't carry any Blu-ray. Can the coupons be used in-store to order things they have online but not in the store? I've already used the coupon online.

Has anyone been able to use both the store coupon and the on-line coupon with one account?

Also, how does one place an order in store and have the item shipped home?

these people are indicating that they have used the coupon once in store and once online on one account.

actually the fine print says the 50% should be taken off AFTER the 10% member discount. i forgot the base price...something like 283 something. it is on sale for 10% off of that.....255 and change....10% more is 230....50% of that is 115. the online is doing it wrong. it is taking 60% off the 255 price...that is not what the coupon fine print says
