edit I can never find 3 items of similar price that i want at GS/EB but a lot of the tv seasons are pretty well priced even without the B2G1 free. I count all of you lucky who are getting sex in the city complete series, buffy complete series or star trek TNG etc at their GS/Eb.

My GS's have been quite dry since they changed the trade-in policy. The generic DVDs are typically the ones I find most appealing, a little more offbeat/independent/lesser known stuff, and I might have only found a couple worthwhile to me in the last six months.
It is to the point now that I don't even bother browsing unless I happen to be near one anyway and have a few minutes. Even then, I rarely even spot anything different from the last time I might have been at that store a couple/few months ago.
The stock, at the ones I've checked, is quite depleted outside of big budget major studio releases and one can easily do better on those even if interested by waiting for price drops, retail sales, etc.

Went to the GS by my office on a whim. Their selection has been pretty low ever since they stopped paying cash for trade-ins, so I don't go by there nearly as much. Glad I stopped by today...
...walked out with this
this
and this (and no, that's not my copy for sale there)
for $3.58 TOTAL!

Man, I think I tossed my GS card when I heard they were phasing out DVDs. I'm not at all a gamer, so the card was worthless to me. I only recently discovered they hadn't done away with the DVDs.
Checking in with the only one in town, I saw little of note, although there were four or five HD-DVDs there, a first for this store. Anyone know if these are generally worth picking up for trade/resale?

Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs are now part of the buy 2 get 1 free. I have use it for the past 2 weeks in several gamestops.
I also found Kwaidan Criterion for $1.99 but there was nothing else to combine the offer with.

I still haven't found any BR or HD-DVDs on sale that I wanted.

Holy geeze! I wish my local stores sold criterions for 2 bucks. (Although in Oklahoma, I doubt many people even know what Criterion is). The last good deal I got from them (last week) was:
The Immortal - Complete series -$7.20
City Of Lost Children -$7.20
Project A (decent region 0 import with cantonese language track and removable subs) - $7.20
Total: - $21.60
and I went ahead and sold the Immortal for +$26
Net: + 4.38
