Meh. Anybody who got in on this "deal" was greedy. Whether they bought two sets, or seventy-two.

Just tried to view tracking on these orders. It says, "We're sorry - tracking information is not currently available. Please try again later." Says that on all my orders I placed, but it will show tracking on orders from a week ago, and it shows up on one box that was sent via DHL. Hope that isn't an issue.

It seems that the one order I placed was separated into two shipments, and one of them (the one not ready to ship) is nowhere to be found in my account now, so I guess it got canceled.

Instead of getting two TV box sets for fifty cents, I'll be getting (fingers crossed) one set for twenty-five cents. Can't really complain about that.

I think that it's a stall tactic by Amazon while they prepare a warrant for your arrest.

Gee, should I feel dumb for just placing 2 orders for things I actually wanted?

BTW, my orders were sent by USPS according to the emails. Not UPS.

I placed an order for two sets this afternoon just for the hell of it, and it now shows in my order history as the full B1G1 price. Guess I will be sending this package back when I get it.

This happened to me. I ordered Newsradio Season 3 and 4 and only 4 shipped and the third season is nowhere to be seen. Also my last order dissapeared, so I supposed is canceled.

So of my three orders, one had disappeared, another is open and the completed one is showing a price of $40. Figures that'd happen to me.

Too bad so many people ordered dozens of sets, probably lessening the chances of everyone getting their orders honored.

Nothing wrong with that. I only picked up titles that I would be willing to pay the B1G1 price for. All of mine were free shipping so they went to USPS also.

Actually it does, at least in my case. My email has a UPS tracking number, and it shows being received by UPS.

So is Amazon's return process pretty easy? My card was officially charged the full amount.

Amazon's customer service is up there with the best. Send them an e-mail and tell them that you did not authorize this charge and you want to return the order for a full refund. They'll apologize and will e-mail you a return postage label to print out. Send the package back to them at their expense and they'll refund the full amount back to your credit card.

Yes, very easy and straight-forward. They'll issue a prepaid postage label and will send you email upon receipt of the return, then another email once the refund has been issued to your credit card, gift certificate etc. Their return policy is posted on their site.

Back on topic, I just saw this thread, so I'm off to buy Hart to Hart - Season 1 and Fantasy Island Season 1 for $45. It would appear that most of you got in on a much sweeter deal

Thanks for the info, SBJ. You guys may want to double check and be 100% sure of the prices on your orders!!!

More power to you. I don't think that I could bring myself to make a legitimate order now.

Believe me, it's rather difficult to hit the PLACE ORDER button.

So I just got an email letting me know my one open order has been shipped and I was only charged $4. My third order is no longer showing up on the site and like I said before, the other order was charged according to the B1G1 Free sale.

I suppose it doesn't matter I still have the three emails stating the low prices when I ordered them, eh?

I only made one order and I also placed my order about 10 hours ago, but I still haven't received a shipping e-mail. Did you choose free shipping(that's what I did)? Thanks.

I placed two orders this morning, one with free shipping and the other standard. Haven't recieved a shipping email for either, so you're not alone.

Was it a deal or a steal ? When stuff like this happens and it is an obvious screw-up, is it still justifiable to take advantage?

I am not pointing fingers, just wondering the ethics of the "deal".

For a good return you gotta go bettin' on chance, and then you're back with anarchy. Right back inna jungle. On account of the breakdown of ethics. That's why ethics is important. It's the grease makes us get along, what separates us from the animals, beasts a burden, beasts a prey. Ethics.
