We can be hopeful in that this never made to any other boards. I placed 3 orders between 10 and 10:30 central.
They totaled $4.xx, $5.xx and $0.00 with free shipping on two and paid shipping on the first.
Got email shipping confirm only on half of the 2nd order, so far. Order page shows the same prices as the original
auto confirm order placements notices. Still hopeful. Nice understated subject line OP.

One of three of my orders shipped, the rest say "We are preparing these items for shipment and this portion of your order cannot be canceled or changed.".
Even apart from the pricing issue, Am*z*n gets props for being quick with the order, even free shipping. Odds are, however, it's all automated, a pick order printed in a warehouse somewhere and they just stuck it in a box.
My total from three orders is 21.00.
They can't retroactively charge more, can they? I know they can cancel but if my receipt says X.XX, that's what I agreed to pay.

4 out of 6 orders have now shipped. Ordered at 9 and 11 am.
Thanks OP!
Id just like to say how great it is, that only DVDTalk was able to get on this. Throughout the day I was looking around, and this was never on FW or SD. This will be the stuff of legend, we talk about years from now

This is not to say this has never happened to somebody. It is just not Amazon's normal procedure. I have never heard of Amazon charging more after an item has shipped. At this time I don't think anything is actually going to ship until Tuesday despite what is says on screen. It is probably loaded on their shipping dock but I doubt anything has left the warehouse.

Long time lurker, but this deal prompted me to join.
I'd like to thank the guys who didn't try to bury this thread at the beginning, and decided to share it with everyone. Now everybody is getting cheap or free DVDs from Amazon. This is what this forum is about, sharing deals for the good of the group. It is not about hiding them for the good of a few, like some were suggesting in this thread.

Welcome aboard and I could not agree with your post more. Also, a huge

3 cheers to Alex-W on finding this gem of a deal. I do believe it's even better than the price glitch at Target a couple of years ago.

I placed 5 orders and it appears they are all shipping soon. However I noticed one item that never went into the shipping soon phase was removed from an open order. The other item is still there and shipping soon. Doesn't appear the price changed since it is still at $0. But it appears Amazon has caught on and is removing items or orders not in at least the shipping soon phase now. I'm still not going to get my hopes up until I have an actual email confirming shipping.

My reply to CardiffGiant was an overreaction on my part and if I had to do it again I would have stopped after the second sentence and left it there. But now the silly thing has been quoted and will sit there festering until the end of time... anyway, that's enough of this for me tonight!

Out of my 55 orders (yes, fifty-five) all have shipped but 14 of them. When I left for work today only half of one order was shipped. My hope was almost lost. Then I got home and am happier than a pig in....a place where he can get cheap dvds. Seeing all these $0.00 orders ship makes me a little pissed at myself for not doing the same. I thought it would be safer to have my oders cost something. But all in all, I spent about $70, and I'm very happy about it.
Thanks a MILLION to the op, best deal I have ever gotten in on!

Out of my fifty orders only 36 have shipped.
If they end up shipping everything, I'll be getting 100 DVD sets for a total of $5.63.
These are going to make great Christmas presents for family and friends.
