Not all Wal-Marts have all these horror titles sometimes Wal-Mart don't even have all those titles you have mention.

I only saw A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 The Dream Child, Jason X and Jason Goes to Hell.

Probably it's first come first serve.

I prefer buying all the individual titles then buying the whole box set at BB for $50.

The Super Wallyworld in my town has Tremors (WS, CE, in a plastic keepcase) on the $4.88 display. Well worth the purchase!

After seeing the greatly improved anamorphic image on the version of TREMORS found in the Franchise Collection "Attack Pack", I'd have to disagree with you on that, nightmaster.

Didn't see any of the New Line/Warner Bros. horror dvds at the WalMart here in town. They did have all the Universal ones talked about on here plus:
The Omen *single disc version*
Damien- Omen 2
The Final Conflict
Psycho *the remake*
People Under the Stairs
Incubus *the Esperanto/William Shatner film for only $3.88*

My Wal-Mart didn't have the Universal display, but the NewLine/WB one. I picked Nightmare 3 in keepcase. I was hoping for They Live, but like I said No Universal display was around. Maybe it will be out a little later in the month.

Finally found a Wal-Mart with a good selection. I picked up:

Duel - This is one I hadn't seen mentioned here and wasn't expecting
People Under the Stairs - Been meaning to grab this for a while
Serpent and the Rainbow - Another I've been putting off

I saw Shocker and considering I got two other Wes Craven films I shoulda just picked it up as well but I've never seen it. Any one recomend?

Having NOT seen the "Attack Pack" version, I haven't seen the improved image. For under $5, I'm fine with the CE.

my local walmart had all the Nightmare movies except part 1. also, there was a display for most the tartan movies, but for some reason a few of them were scattered in different areas, like Doppleganger and Tale of Two Sisters were mixed with the new releases.

My local Wal-Mart hasn't had any of the displays I've seen posted about here. I'm kinda bummed out by that fact.

Dude, it's a TV movie--it's supposed to be full frame.

My Wal-Mart had the WB/Tartan/Universal display set up in... the gardening section?

Picked up New Nightmare, but may get the other Elm Street movies if I'm back in there soon. Never seen any of the others, but I can easily trade in or swap if it turns out I don't care for them.

While I'd almost never recommend craven with a few exceptions (last house, hills, new nightmare, original nightmare, possibly serpent)...shocker is entertaining enough, especially if you like Mitch Pileggi. Kinda funny to see him as a villain if you're used to him playing Skinner on the X-Files.

At my WM I got The Hidden (PE). But now I see that it would be cheaper at DD if we get the sale next month.

Yup. I'll keep an eye out for the Attack Pack. Until then, I'll have to settle for ignorant bliss.

Heh, its my natural aversion to the words FULL FRAME that were on the spine. Its like finding a snake in the dvd racks.

Well, im going to try another walmart and chase down the changeling. Maybe they will have it and ill pick it up then.

I'd definitely grab those and the Darkmans if my Wally has them.

Technically, "full frame" is a little less 'immediate avoid' than "full screen" (or flat out "P&S") as you at least are not losing anything, though of course you still aren't getting the intended framing....unless it was filmed FOR 1.33:1.

Ah, it's such a fun and confusing subject.

And I think sometimes they label FS as FF anyway....
