Well, it's working for me.

Make sure you aren't already logged into Buy.com, because it wont work if you are logged in there. If that doesn't help, I'm not sure what to tell you. If all else fails, clear cookies and all of that?

I finally got me Goggle Checkout to go through after trying several times on different days and nights. Took me about 12 tries and when I refreshed twice without going back it clicked through. Turns out that Google had never sent me a validation e-mail either but accepted my purchase without confirmation. All that for Pasolini's legendary first feature 'Accattone' and Bunuel's 'Viridiana' for $35 or so.

Order#3:

Harvery Birdman: Vol. 2
South Park Hits Vol. 1

Total: $33.81

I had these both pre-ordered from Amazon for $39-ish total. Luckily, I was able to cancel that order just now and place the Buy.com one.
Good thing this sale is going on this whole month.
I may be able to reduce the price of some pre-orders if I can just wait it out to order from Buy.com upon release.

I had to clear my cookies to get the deal to work.

I bought:
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Gruesome Edition &
Trilogy of Terror Special Edition

for $22.98 after shipping at Dvd Empire with Google Checkout

Excellent Price since TCM2 will be $15 almost everywhere next week & TOT averages $15-$20 just about everywhere.

Yeah, so far I've bought:

Order #1: My Name Is Earl: Season One

Order #2: Rushmore: Criterion Collection

Oder #3: Newsradio S3 & S4

This deal is going to last all the way to the end of the month.

I have noticed that the Google Checkout link is not showing up for me at DVD Empire anymore though, but maybe that's just me.

Does Google checkout cancel out Stockback, Fat Wallet and all those other referral sites?

Anyone have any experience with using Google checkout with DVDEmpire?

I noticed that the link isn't active if you have used items in your cart, but if you copy the link while you have a new item in the cart and just paste it in, it looks like it'll let you go through with an order...

Well, I got my first order to go through when I signed up to create an account and clicked on Agree and Continue.

Now, I go back and checkout, it again asks me either create an account or sign-in. So I type my email and userid and click signin and continue. Then it brings back the same screen with my email filled in and still saying create an account or sign in. Again aI put in my password and click signin and continue -- same result. I even deleted all cookies via Tools => Options.

Anything else anyone can think of to do? Tried late night and early evening too

My first went through just fine and trying to create a new account says I am using the same credit card, so it is really trying to create a new one.

Thanks in advance.

I kept getting this too, I found that if you "sign in" and when it brings you to the same screen again, you can hit back and it will bring up the page where you can check out.

How cute, buy.com "can't" contact me so they cancelled my order...looks like they'll do it again this time too, and they don't even remove the temporary charges very quickly...not that they should even be on there if they're not going to believe my identity. Man do I ever seem to have rotten luck with this.

If any of you can find an item for around $1.00 that will ship for free to help pad orders, that would be great. I'll keep my eyes open as well.

How about "Nutcracker Ornaments Stained Glass Coloring Book" (ISBN 0486404986) for $1.35?

There's also "Soncanyon Jesus is Alive!: Bible Story Coloring Book" (ISBN 5550120003) for $1.16, but it's out of stock right now....(gee, I wonder why?)

I've been trying to get it to work at Buy.com for over a day now and nothing. I either get "Can't Find Server" or it takes me to a Google page that says "Oops, we are unable to process your request."

And now they've raised the price slightly on Seven Samurai.
