Thanks, hadn't thought of Amazing Stories. $25 shipped is a nice price for that set. Might have to jump on that.

I ordered Star Wars Episodes IV through VI and The Little Mermaid PE last week. They all arrived today (in three different types of packaging) in perfect condition!

What is the correct protocal to go about for returning this? Do I contact buy.com or googlecheckout?

The protocol has been a bitch to go through.

Buy.com sent me the SD-version of Grand Prix instead of the HD-DVD version I ordered.

We've pretty much traded emails all weekend with nothing accomplished so far.

You can try:

1. Contacting Buy.com (via their site), but it will take at least three emails to make them understand that your item was ordered via Google Checkout (aka their Guest Checkout). Then you will go through another series of emails regarding the reasons for your return and the current state of your item.

2. Try contacting Buy.com via the Googlecheckout menu. Basically, login to Google Checkout, view your order details and then click on the "Contact Buy.com " hyperlink to send them email about the order. I have yet to get a response via this method.

You are making this much more difficult than it needs to be. Their automated system will handle this for you perfectly. On buy.com, go to MY ACCOUNT but don't log in. Select the link for ORDER LOOKUP. Enter your order number there. You will then have the option to RETURN an item, and for the reason select the option for "wrong item received" and that you would like a replacement. They will give you a return shipping label. Send the wrong one back, and they will send you the correct one. You don't need to waste any time on the phone, or writing emails...

That was the first thing I tried, unfortunately, I could never get past the initial screen (page not found). The page also errors out with Firefox.

So I tried the alternative methods above.

I tried that too but kept getting either "page not found" or an "unable to deliver message, please try again later" message. So I had to email them.

That would be fine if it actually worked. But neither of my Google/Buy.com orders appear using that technique. Since I don't have any problems with my orders, thus far, it isn't a big deal. But I can well understand the frustrations of those who are trying to get in touch with Buy.com to fix problems.

You need to enter the last name and phone number EXACTLY as it was entered in google. If you capitolized the first letter, it must be in caps. If you used spaces in the phone number, you must use spaces. I have placed 12+ google orders with buy.com, and they ALL appear in order lookup. Sometimes it just takes a while to find the right combination...

I think your browser security settings might be too restrictive... Here is a direct link, in case it works any better:

I had to return an order they filled with the wrong titles. When I tried to contact CS at Buy, their link was down for a while so I sent them an e-mail through Google checkout and shortly after that called Buy at their 24/7 number (877 780-2464). Had to wait a little while but after explaining the problem, I received a prepaid UPS return shipping label via e-mail within a couple minutes. They did respond to my Google inquiry in less than a day.

I got a wrong title too (the recruit instead of Rescue Me season 2). When I responded through google checkout, they told me I didn't order the Recruit. Well no crap.

Phoning buy.com worked, and although the guy said he would have to mail me a label via snail mail, I did recieve it via email moments later.

Seems like there is an awful lot of mixups from the buy.com wherehouse.

Received both of my orders today. The new Playtime CC came in a bubble mailer and was undamaged. The Office Complete Series came in a box and was in perfect shape. No damage and no floaters. Nice deal.

Recieved 2 orders today (Lost S2 and Smallville S5), also one in bubble and other in box. Both were in great condition.

Did some christmas shopping.

Reno 911 season 3 is 17.99 so that made a good combo with a cd.

Also, the Spongebob sets are all right at 30, so they are a decent deal at 20$.

That may work for you; it doesn't for me. When I enter the phone number as it exists in my Google account I get this error message:

"Please enter a valid phone number, digits only no hyphens." I have found that phone numbers have to be entered as just digits.

And when I do that and enter an order number I get this one:

"We could not locate this order in our system. Please note: new orders will show up within 5 minutes of placing order!"

If you are able to get this order search at Buy.com to work, consider yourself lucky. I have tried dozens of permutations, to no avail.

Just ordered Playtime. At $23.85 after the discount it's about $2 cheaper than it will be at DDD during the 20% off sale.

You're right, I used spaces, not dashes. Very strange how it doesn't work for you though...

"Playtime" is $22.08 including shipping and minus the google $10 discount at DVD EMPIRE. A slightly better deal. FWIW, mine arrived in 4 days and was the correct item and totally undamaged (it's a ding-prone double digipack).

I tried ordering a $115 Wireless Keyboard combo using this discount and it has been cancelled on me twice. I think I am going to give up on it and just go to newegg for the combo. So far, I have placed a total of 10 orders at buy.com with this promotion. 4 of them have been cancelled but two of those cancellations shipped when I re-ordered them. I have one order I placed today pendng and the rest have shipped. (I have receieved 4 orders already)

Thanks for the idea Richard. I wanted Playtime as well, but wanted it shipped in a box versus a bubble pack mailer.

Sweet, I just ordered JLU season 1. Unfortunately, they jacked the price of Batman Beyond Season 2 up to $38. It's a few bucks cheaper than Amazon, but I was hoping to get it for $21 as well.
