Are you sure it's not just a pre-authorization of your card for the amount?

They can still manually cancel an order if they notice something is wrong.

I bet they got the calls and started investigating why they seem to be selling a lot of copies of this.

I propose a motion to ban those who called in if my order is cancelled.

I bet these are the same people who find money on the street and turn it in to the police.

Anything is possible at this point. But I'm not going to cry if this doesn't go through.

Related and not.

Best Buy and various other places have "Rome" with a bonus DVD. Wal-Mart is selling them packed with the box set. While Best Buy and Cirucit City doesn't (bonus disc separate). I'm fuzzy if the Sun Coast sale (please go through) will have the extra item. Anyhow, I've done my Tuesday DVD crawl. Picked up at Best Buy "Surface: The Complete Series" and noticed the "Rome" bonus disc. So, I took one (its a sampler with the first episodes of "Rome", "Deadwood", "Entourage" and "Big Love" plus extras) with me to the register - playing dumb. It's only available to those who buy any HBO TV box set. I got it! One penny. Sway! Just thought I'd like you guys know.

I believe everytime you click on the link to check the order they send you an order inquiry E-Mail.

i don't think calling in and telling them the price mistake has any impact on cancelling or honoring the order. as a matter of fact i think it's a good move, here's why....

if they find out the misprice the hard way, which takes a little longer or something in the system flagging an "irregular" order pattern, by then, tons of order got in and chances are they might cancell every order (the lost is just too great)

However, if they spot the error a little early, the lost is not that bad and thus they might even consider honoring the "few" orders that went through.

Just my two cents... anyway, $25 is still a little high I know, i know, it's the best of the best you can do at this point.

My order says shipped on the website, but in the confirmation email, it says "Your order did not ship due to CANCELLED BY CONSUMER."

I'm going to wait until tomorrow. Allthough bitching about it may help in this case.

Still processing... If it goes through, fantastic; if not, it was worth a shot. I don't think it's anything to get really upset about.
