I also ordered very early on, but I ordered more than one title, so it may therefore be complicated and hopefully not pushed to the end of any queue because I have not recieved any shipping confirmation!

I placed my order before 6:00 AM est, and I've just now received a shipping notice. I sorta wish I had bought several other titles while they were in-stock.

Just got my shipping notice as well. Rocky Anthology and Seinfeld Season 1 and 2 boxset. I was worried about Rocky not shipping, so I am psyched.

I can't believe all these went through. The only title I ordered that was OOS was Gimme Shelter. You can't beat this price on 14 Criterions.

Their stock system is so bizarre. Out of the 7 items I ordered, 5 showed not available on my order status screen. Yet, 4 titles actually shipped with 3 titles on backorder. I'm not even sure whether backorder means that the item can't yet be found in the warehouse, or it's sold to someone else. I suspect if it were sold out it would just say so, but who knows? I'm still crossing my fingers for the copy of 1984 I got in for at 3.99.

I just got a shipping notice too. I expected at least a few of the items to be out of stock, but I'm getting everything I ordered. I got the Pink Panther Film Collection, Seventh Seal, M, and a few other things.

^^So you ordered items that had "not available" as their status and they still shipped? I deleted about a dozen titles from my cart for that reason, now I wish I had just left them there.

Well, I'm pretty disappointed. Out of the 12 items I ordered, the five I wanted most are not shipping. I wouldn't have placed an order if those items weren't available.

I noticed that even though only part of my order shipped, I was charged the full shipping amount. I sent them an email asking for a refund of the overcharge.

I was stacking my cart with $3.99 MGM titles then noticed a little late that they were charging for shipping and tax. Somewhat depressing, I did want the DVD's but the shipping and taxes pretty much kills the deal, atleast for these cheaper titles.

My copy of 1984 shipped. Only thing I ordered, I missed out on the Criterions I wanted. I wanted to add 1984 to my collection but prices on that disc have been ridiculous since it went out of print.

Wow - everything I ordered was shipped - no free shipping though, even though the total was over $100. I guess I'm glad I didn't notice the sale until late in the morning, as I would have probably purchased even more:

Man, I still haven't had my confirmation, and I ordered several titles early on, including Criterions. If anything, the bright side is I saved some money!

How does the shippping work? I ordered a crap load of stuff and only a few are actually shiped, assuming some get cancelled do I get my shipping money back or do I have to eat the cost?

Since this sale just started yesterday, I'd give it a little more time to work itself out. But whether you call them now or wait, Tower is a reputable company, so if you overpaid, I am sure they will take care of it.

Still no shipping on my Black Hawk Down Deluxe. Would paying with a debit card make it take longer to authorize it?

Struck out on all the criterions and pretty much everything...

I'm curious to hear if you were refunded yet, as I too am in the same boat. Shall we just continue to be patient to see if Tower will adjust the charges as anoter poster suggests or must we be proactive about this? Anyone have experience with this? I'm not really expecting "backordered" used DVDs to reappear in stock, unless there's a chance that it might happen. Hmm, maybe I should write them with these concerns... I'll report back.

I sent them an email regarding the shipping overcharges, and here's the response:

So it looks like you have to wait until they cancel your backorders. Then send them an email, and they will refund the shipping overcharge.

Got my confirmation yesterday that everything shipped out.

Thanks Big Dave. I think I'll write them anyhow to see what are the chances that some backordered used DVDs might reappear in stock, and if people with a backorder status means that they get preference to have thier order filled over getting that DVD returned to stock.

Last time they had this sale, they waited a month before cancelling my backordered items, just FYI.

But, tell me they did not charge you for the backordered items and then refunded you... I don't think Tower does this, but I was just wondering...
