I rec'd Walk the Line CE from tower.com either a day before or exactly on release day via the free shipping, so I was quite impressed.

My roomate was just going through these coupons we had and gave me some Papa Johns ones. I noticed there's a promotion, that if you order any pizza then you get a $3 off coupon for the DVD.

Now, it's not specified what DVD they mean in the fine print, but the picture is of the 1 disc edition.

Go to

www.papajohns.com/kong

for the details.

Check your Amazon Gold Box this week. Mine had $1 off on the 2-Disc bringing the price down to $18.99. With the free shipping, no tax, and pi discount this was my best option.

I ordered the King Kong 2 disc set for the great price of $16.99. I also added Get Smart,Again DVD for $3.95 to make the total over $20 and get the free shipping.

Thanks

Received an email from Walmart.com. Preorder King Kong now and if there is a better price on release date they will refund the difference. (wonder if they will match tower.com?)

Problem is, I clicked on their site to check terms and received 13 open windows (twice). Hit the preorder button for the special edition and the next window showed I was buying "63" copies!!! WOW,

Interesting that the WM site mentions that the 2 disc has a foil slipsleeve . . . anybody else very surprised that there are veritably no cool store exclusives with this? Seems someone really dropped the ball.

It'll be interesting to see what this 'paperback book' is at WM.

Hmm ... any opinions on what a "foil slipsleeve" is? Like a candy wrapper? It's probably stock on all of the released.

King Kong / Papa John's Coupon: Forgot about the deal, ordered pizza last night ... there it was. Very cool.

They've sometimes got one-large, one topping pick up deals for like $7 or so - not a bad deal and an easy way to get a coupon.

Yeah, thanks for the Papa John's deal. They actually have some "Kong" coupons on their sites to make the Pizzas cheaper too (ie. One XL Specialty and One Reg 1 Topping for $15.99).

Not sure if I want to get the 2-discer if an EX ED is coming, but it is getting more tempting (luckily, there are no Tower stores around here).

$14.98 at Amazon - 1.57% + Amazon Prime 2 day free shipping..... SOunds good to me. Then I can ditch the 1 disc version when an Extended release comes out.

How about re-releasing Dead Alive already!!!!!!!

Well, now that all the deals are out, there didn't end up being a nice two-fer deal involving the Kong 2 disc and the Production Diaries set.. a missed opportunity if you ask me. I'd likely have paid $35-$40 for both. So, even though I like chocolate, that's not enough to lull me into a purchase. I opted to order it from Amazon along with Godzilla: Final Wars for $12.95 to bump me to free shipping. It should be a fitting attack of monsters both goofy and sympathetic!

"Valid with Borders Rewards Membership only"

Anyone know what FYE (B&M) is doing with single and 2 disc versions?

Just wait until the Extended Edition comes around ... THEN they'll have a two-fer, more than likely - or the PD will be built into the set. Who knows.

Just to warn you...I bought Final Wars when if came out for $8 from WM and it's complete crap. Not much godzilla and more cheesy acting than anything.

I have to admit the 2 discer is get more appealing but I'll probably stick to my guns and get the 1 disc waiting for the EE to come out.

I like cheesy acting in my kaiju sometimes, so it's all good!
