Would it matter much if you pre-ordered Narnia, if you were going to purchase LatT at Best Buy, anyway? If all you have to do is put $5 down, you're actually spending the same amount. If it comes down to not purchasing Narnia at Best Buy, would you have to pick it up? You didn't lose out. But even if they are a couple of dollars higher, you will save $5. So if they are $16.99 (and won't price match), you already have $5 down ($2.50 a piece if you divide the amount between LatT and Narnia), making it $11.99. Just a thought, if you were planning on purchasing LatT at Best Buy, anyway (which I more than likely will to use my 15,000 point RZ coupon), thus planning on paying $16.99 ($14.99 if they will PM).

Also, anyone else have any luck with PM at Best Buy with the CC ad? Since the price isn't actually listed next to LatT. I guess it would be YMMV.

My mom told me she'd pay for mine and my fiance's Lady and the Tramp, so of course I picked the one from DisneyShopping.com, since she didn't seem to mind the price, so we have the DVD, 4 Lithographs, 2 plushes, and a pin on the way!

Wonder what happens to the big Lady doll on top of the display at BB
I was wondering the exact same thing. It's huge. And pretty cool. I sorta want it.

At FYE it is $19.99 in store with a $7.00 MIR, so its the same B&m. They have a bunch of the Lady plushes though, so you don't need to have reserved it, you might have to ask for it when you purchase the dvd though.

I also bought one from BB and the BB tramp plush matches the FYE lady plush.

I don't go to FYE so I'm not familiar with their rebates.
Do they have you hack up your covers for the rebates?

The offer was at Best Buy for the price match was: $2.00 off Circuit City AD or the plush toy? What should I have done?

Can you just return the Naria for a full refund after you pick it up with your $5 preorder?

You can send the yellow price sticker on the front because it has a upc code on it.

Narina Pre-order 5.00
********************************

Then when you come back to buy Narnia, you "return" your pre-order on the same transaction to get $5 + tax credit toward Narnia. At least, that's how the video game preorders work. Maybe the package deal screws that up.

I'll let you know what mine says after lunch.
Yeah, thats what I thought too....but it was strange...I was looking for the $5 discount, but never say it....It did say Narnia Pre-order on the receipt....it just had a $0 while Lady and the Tramp was $16.99....oh well, maybe the cashier did something to it....im sure it will still work fine for me, I just thought it was odd.
Yes, this is how it is on my receipt.
11.99 for L&T
5.00 for the pre-order
0.00 for the coupon

What probably happened to you is what was happening to me. There's 4 barcodes on the narnia pre-order form. 3 for the 3 types of narnia dvd (fs, ws, se) and 1 for the disney coupon.

I'm sure the cashier just didn't scan your coupon barcode meaning it didn't recognize the package. My cashier (before we realized what to do) was trying to make my pre-order 0.00 instead of 5.00, but I argued that when I come back in a few weeks to pick it up, this receipt will say I paid 0.00 for it and I'll end up paying full price for it then. I'm afraid that's what the computer will do automatically for you. You'll either need to argue that logically with a manager why they should give you narnia for $5 less OR go back to BB and rebuy L&T and the narnia preorder and this time make sure the coupon is scanned and just return the new L&T on your old ($16.99) receipt.

I don't see why not. They have a 30 day return policy, it'd be stupid if they dont let you return it because you preorder it.

Lol. I wouldn't pay what I'm guessing others would pay for it though. Maybe I'll make friends with the BB manager and use my charm to get it.

Ill just argue....im good at that.

It obviously shows that I purchased the pre-order since its on the receipt. Im sure others may have had this happen to them too.

Tried to pricematch the CC price at Best Buy. The cashier wasn't aware of the Narnia situation either so there was lots of confusion. Not only did the manager tell me I couldn't price match and get the beanbag. He also said they wouldn't honor the $5 off for the pre-order either. So I paid the $16.99, got the toy and the $5 off. I was concerned about the pre-order also because it was on the receipt but they didn't give me anything else to show, but customer service said it was fine.

Im gonna staple my receipt to the pre-order flyer (with barcode on it) and just use that when I purchase it.

Down to $14.96 now. You could've saved 10 cents.

Amazon seems to have some odd pricing lately. DVD prices (IMO) typically follow the pattern of having a aggressive sale price when on release day through the weekend (say $16), then going up to a full price level for a while (say $20), and then dropping in time (say $15 in 6 months, $10 after a year or so, and then eventually in the Wal*Mart bin). But Amazon has had a couple of releases now where the price a week or two after release is less than their release day pricing (I think Grey's Anatomy dropped from $20+ to the current $18; March of the Penguins seems to be the same or less compared to release day).

I'm not sure if the pricing has any significance. All it means to me is I bought some disks at B&M stores (Grey's at Target, L&T at Frys) when I could have gotten the same price at Amazon a few days or weeks later.

I got mines for $20 shipped from Disney.com. The lithos are awesome! Dudes, it's well worth the bucks, the four lithos can easily fetch $20 on eBay, which means i pay nothing for the dvd. Of course, i'm not gonna sell the lithos, too cool! i believe this is best deal.

I went ahead and just got this at Best Buy and price matched Circuit City's price of $14.99 instead of doing the pre-order for $5 off. I figure with the current trend of Circuit City beating Best Buy price by a couple of bucks, I'll just PM Chronicles of Narnia at Best Buy and probably break even.

But has anybody noticed that Best Buy seems to hate their own price matching policy. A few weeks ago I PM Office:Season 1 (US) for $12.99 and was given a hard time because of the extreme price difference (BB had it for $23.99).

This week, when trying to PM Circuit City's price, Best Buy was giving me a hard time because the price wasn't directly below the the picture of Lady and the Tramp in the ad. I told the clerk that I had just been to Circuit City to pick up the ad and can confirm that price with a phone call. And his response was "I'm not going to go through all of that trouble for two bucks".

So I'm made to feel like a liar when I want to PM something with an extreme price difference (Office) and a cheapskate when I want to save a couple of bucks (LATT)? Thumbs up!
