Finally found the dvd's at the Tuttle store (Dublin). Got a few copies of Fletch!!! Thanks to the people who mentioned that you would have to check near the inside of the rack (not an easy task).

Only 1/3 of the Wal-marts around here have them, and they won't let you move the stackable displays. All the people selling Fletches on ebay have depreciated the price significantly. Some are just selling for $10 now, so if you're buying them just to resale you may want to rethink.

Really...because after shipping and ebay/paypal fees, you "might" break even.

As far as the displays, I have lifted them up when no one was around to find a Weird Science. Glad I did or else I wouldn'tr have found 1 of the two copies I saw in the display.

The only store that wouldn't let me do it was the one in Central, and you know the story there. Every other store that I've been to with one of the stackable displays (both in this sale and sales in the past) not only let me move it, but the workers actually assisted me in doing so when I asked them to.

One a side note, I just can't get over the stupidity of some people on eBay.

Tell me about it.

However, on average, the final selling price now is about $12.50 . One just went for $15 before shipping.

Come about 2 weeks before Christmas, this might be back to normal in terms of pricing. But who knows with ebay.

I've been to the Dundalk, Golden Ring and Port Covington stores. None of them have had this display.

The one I found was actually laying right on the top! As I was looking through the titles, someone else came along and was looking so I asked if they wanted to see the next layer. We lifted it up and found quite a few Fletch as well as about 5 Weird Science and actually several different titles that were not in the first layer at all.

One of my local Wal Marts had a new $3.88 DVD display out today. I remember seeing The Mummy, but not the one with Brendan Fraser. A whole pile of really crappy movies I thought. I wouldn't have wanted any of them for a $1 even.

The power of recall is a wonderful thing. Can you remember any more information than that, regarding what you saw? Which location was this? Was there any other writing on the cover of the Mummy case? Any other titles?

I saw several Timecop 2 on my local Wal-Mart. You should also specify that the Psycho DVD is the remake. Thanks for the list DiscGuy.

A Pittsburgh area heads-up: The North Fayette store has TWO of these displays, one right at the front of the store and the other back in the aisle across from the photo dept, down a bit from the electronics area. I was there late Sunday (Oct. 30) night.

A quick look over both didn't find any copies of Fletch. But, you never know, there could be some deeper inside the cubes.

I'm on the fence about getting Jaws 2. I know I saw that one a lot, but don't remember it well. Not sure if it's as much a "must have" as the original.

This cracks me up. Not just because the person is selling 13 "rare" DVDs, all the same title, but at this time, no bids.

Finally!

I went back this morning. They have a separate $4.88 endcap by the registers and there on top was a lone Weird Science! Didn't see another one there, or back at the display. There were still buried layers that could have contained some though. Still saw a few of Fletch too.

Another one I saw some of that I don't see mentioned here was Death Becomes Her.

And the standard edition of Sneakers.

Ended up selling the last two copies of Fletch for $15 on ebay last night so the total for all five was $105. Looks like I put them on just in time to sell the first three.
