Can you imagine these M-fers!? What is it his business that I am shopping for an hour or even more in a store that is there to promote business? What kind of moron hires this kind of idiot?

What you should have done was asked to speak to the mgr and to get the corporate # or regional mgr's # so you could report your complaint to them.

I don't blame the guy for lashing out, if I had spent an hour of my life like that, or even just half an hour and some moron-in-authority pulled a stunt like that on me I'd be pissed. Knowing what a PITA it can be to do things "the right way" I'd be very tempted to give him a little verbal assault to blow the steam off, and then just forget about it and then never shop at that location again.
Since people who want to buy more than 10 PVDs are the "whales" of stores like BBV, all it takes is for a moron like that to chase off just a few of them and the impact on that particular store's bottom-line should be substantial. Whenever I make a run to my local Hollywood Video or Movie Gallery, I get major sucking-up, "Pretty Woman" style, because the stack of PVDs I buy is sometimes the difference between them hitting or missing their weekly/monthly quota. Anyone else buying stacks of PVDs should expect no less either.

Well, I guess it pays to be persistent. I went back to my Blockbuster today and they have a sign up that says ALL previewed DVDs are now 3 for $25. So, I tried again. This time it worked!
I walked out with the following sets for $25 per 3:
Buffy: Season 2
Buffy: Season 3
Buffy: Season 4
-----------
Spanglish
Bourne Supremacy
Dukes of Hazzard: Season 1
---------
Everybody Loves Raymond: Season 1
CSI: Season 1
Survivor All Stars: Complete Season
Not bad! The clerk couldn't believe it when it went through. If they'd have had any more box sets, I'd have grabbed them, too.
Anyway, may be worth checking your local Blockbuster again. And, of course, YMMV.

I just drove past one and the sign has changed to ALL pvds 3 for $25.
Sooooooooooooooo what was the point of even having the selected titles 3 for $25 sale? I know they lost some business from me, because I've since gotten some of the titles I couldn't get at BBV elsewhere.

All the signs say in small print "See Customer Service Representative for details."
The details are basically this: Sale excludes any dvds $19.99 and up. No more than 2 copies of any single title. No more than 20 PVDs per customer, per visit.
If you gat a good deal on a boxset it is because the employees don't know their own rules. I got shut down on 5 seasons of Babylon Five marked $59.99 that I really wanted to get. I guess I can try again some other time, but I don't think I'll have any luck.

5 seasons of on BF most likely got their 'we are being ripped off' to start sounding.

The deal is still going on. At the East Patchogue, NY store, I grabbed Dodgeball, Million Dollar Baby and the INDIANA JONES TRILOGY set! The only other used box sets I saw at that one are 24 S1 and Simpsons S1, both of which I already had.

the copmlete box sets are probably only at stores that are taking trades.
in sept either all or most bbv will be taking trade ins.
