Ok....so I got the $5 digital coupon, but I have a question.

Are the prices shown for pre-releases the price they will be at the first week, or are they at the MSRP?

I want to pick up Karate Kid 4 pack for pre-order for $27.99...thus making it $22.99, but if the price drops for the first week, I don't want to use the coupon until later (which I may forget about).

Store pick up, unless it's a pre order. My Reward Zone account helps with the tax (Mi 6% - 3.33%).

Neither did I. But I'm perfectly satisfied (although getting Showgirls for $2.50 + tax and shipping would be pretty good).

keep checking, and if you have a spam filter keep an eye on it too, mine didn't show up for a few hours after people had started posting about getting it

I've been waiting on a good deal on Traffic and this certainly would've been the one. Alas, it was not to be. Oh well.

Not too bad if I get them all for a total of 75.78 after shipping and tax. I will be very very surprised if this goes through! Many, many thanks to the OP and I hope everyone has good luck with their orders.
Traffic, Stand by Me, and Hoosiers were all cancelled . All others show as shipped. I also got a $5 coupon like others.

I am very surprised about how much love and understanding has been shown towards BestBuy.com in this thread. I don't get it! I know they have a clause about price errors but what website does not. Just because they have a clause does that let them off the hook every time they make a mistake. What about our rights as consumers. I feel like I had a contract with Bestbuy for the DVDs I ordered, especially if Bestbuy.com charge my Credit card before they caught their mistake and cancelled my order. The question is: Is it worth my time to cause an uproar over 3 dvds? NO, so I will let them off the hook this time.

However if the five dvds I get in the mail from Bestbuy are not exactly the ones I ordered then I am going to ask for a full refunded including shipping charges. If they do not agree to that then I will dispute the charge with my credit card company and file a complaint with the BBB.

I hope everyone here will at least fire off an email to Bestbuy.com explaining how disappointed we are with them. Bestbuy.com's mistake is their fault, not ours. They are the ones trying to make a profit off of our purchases. Let Bestbuy know how you feel! OK, I am off my soapbox now, peace out!

You got 5 of 8 of an obvious misprice order and a $5 coupon out of nowhere because they felt bad about disappointing you and you're complaining about Best Buy?

No. Pilot and I didn't either.

We're starting a class action suit about it though.

I applaud Best Buy for shipping the items they had in stock at the incorrect prices. How can you blame them at all for canceling the orders for the other items? They are in the business to make a profit - most businesses are.

Some outfits would try to recall all the packages that have been shipped (though I suspect it would be difficult with the USPS) or overcharge your credit card (Office Depot comes to mind). I've had that happen with price mistakes.

I'm not apologizing for Best Buy (I know I'm on their Devils List ), but we were taking advantage of a mistake - and I believe most of us knew it was an error - after all. Have to give them props for shipping product that was in stock & issuing us a $5 credit for an error on their part.

A mistake by either party can void a contract, plus you knew it was a mistake. I'm sorry you didn't get all of your DVDs.

You got a great deal on an obvious price mistake. Why would you be mad?

They did not let themselves off the hook, they sent out $5 credits which they didn't have to do.

They didn't charge your credit card. They only charge once the item has shipped.

Good Luck with that.

I did fire off an Email. I told them that I was glad they honored the price on the item they had in stock (Rudy) and shipped it off without any problem I also told them that I was grateful for the $5 certificate which they didn't have to send. I told them that I would continue to shop at their fine establishment.

Wow, I guess I never realized this. They're trying to make a profit off of our purchases??? All this time, I thought they were a not for profit organization. Now I'm mad too. The nerve of them.

Some people are just never happy, unless they are upset.

Your whole post almost disgusts me at to how much of a sore loser you are when you don't get your way. They caught their mistake on a dvd or dvds that weren't even IN-STOCK or even AVAILABLE, yet. They have all the right to take those prices down and cancel the pre-orders that any one of us made during the many hours of the price mistake which we caught.

To my knowledge, most places don't even charge for something until it is shipped thus there is no reason for you to be getting charged for something you did not get. And what is this about you taking everything back for a full refund? You could simply call them up and talk with them about it and if they don't comply on the matter you could THEN ask for your money back on the one's they did not send to you(I'm assuming it was the Traffic CC).

Also, you should be damned happy they GAVE you a $5 coupon towards BestBuy(.com) for FREE. No strings attached to it just because they caught some pre-order price mistakes and cancelled them. I didn't even get one of these and I ordered Traffic CC when I first had the chance which they cancelled yesterday(or today.. forgot). But anywho, be grateful you received the dvds at a great price of what they were at.

Best Buy redeemed themselves as far as I am concerned. It was a mistake, things happen. They made good and went above and beyond and explained their mistake. That is a lot more then we get from a lot of e-tailers out there.

please let's not turn this into another one of those "i'm pissed off because they didn't honor their price mistake" threads..everyone should know by now that if a e-tailer does not honor a price mistake ...you have no reason to cry about it because you *KNOW* you are taking advantage of a mistake...if they do honor it ..then good for them for the mistake and making their customers happy..if this continues I will close this thread..
