I placed my order on December 8th. I got 3 of the discs in time for Christmas, but I've twice had to approve a delay for Mythos. The thing that bothers me the most is that I sent STL to a friend who obviously ordered AFTER me & yet she did receive a copy of Mythos - & before xmas. I guess I should look on the bright side - that I could borrow her copy, but it's just not right.

Site now says Mythos usually ships within 4 to 5 days. But my delivery estimate is March 3, 2005 - March 16, 2005.

I know I ordered Mythos well before many of the people ordered it who have already received theirs and mine was delayed yet again.

If you go to the price grabb*r site (don't want to have the info altered to an inferior search engine!) then you can go to the advanced search page (there's a link up top) and enter price criteria, including those dvd's priced lowest at Amazon (as well as max price, min % off SRP, etc.) |

I complained to Amazon and got the following reply:
We are very sorry for the delay in completing the item "Joseph Campbell - Mythos" in your order. In looking into the situation, I see that the shipment of your order has been delayed by a system error. Our technical specialists are working hard to correct the problem so that we can ship your order as soon as possible. To help compensate you for this unexpected change, I have upgraded the method of shipment for this order to "Two-Day Shipping". There is of course no additional charge for this. We now expect to ship the item "Joseph Campbell - Mythos" by the new date listed on your ccount : March 07, 2005. |
I just called and got upgraded to free one-day shipping, and my estimated delivery date got bumped up to March 8-9.

I called too, for the third time in 3 months, and got moved back to March 7.

I sent them an email, got the ship-date moved back to March 9 and an offer of a shipping upgrade. Today I just got an email requesting approval for a one-month delay!!!

Yeah, that's happened to me about...6 times now, yet of course it says on the site shipping in 6-11 days. I'm betting they send out the new orders of it, at 90 dollars before any of us get it.

Oh, hell no. Mine got bumped back to April 13 the day after I called.

Amazon's system keeps bumping my shipment date to April. Customer service has set it to March 9 two times. The first time, they gave me free two-day shipping and the second, free one-day shipping. It didn't ship today but they gave me a $20 gift certificate. I don't mind if they keep bumping the shipment date as long as they keep sending me gift certificates. -ptth-

I've been complaining every time my shipment date got bumped. It's flip-flopped from March to April three times in the past week. I guess a gift certificate is a step up from free one-day shipping.

I've also called and been moved then bumped 3 or 4 times, yet I've only gotten a $5 gift cert. Damnit, 20 would make me a lot less annoyed with this.
