You must be new to the bargains forum. Amazon has a history of letting "price mistakes" run for days and then cancelling orders just as they are scheduled to ship. Some people, myself included, believe that such tactics are essentially loss-leaders without the loss. Amazon denies any such intenions, of course but it has happened enough times over the last few years to be an established pattern at the very least.

I didn't notice it until after I placed my order, and didn't want to place a new order. I had never heard of it, but after reading about it, I actually sent the link to some friends, hoping they might order it, and I could just watch it! :)

Apologies If I offended anyone. I didn't intend for my post to come off as bragging. It's more happiness that I finally hit on one of these deals (which is tentative happiness at best considering Amazon's cancelation history!)

FYI... The Power of Myth is back down to $8.99 again! It's not the Mythos set but the next best thing. Not sure what's going on with Amazon -- prices are all over the place lately...

I just finished watching the first episode of Wire in the Blood, and WOW what a show. If some of you guys didn't pick it up, and if you ever can in the future, trust me on this. It's more than worth a purchase, and is one of the best DVD deals ever for just $8.xx. It's without a doubt one of my favorite blind buys ever.

I received Wire in the Blood today, and just noticed it has an accolade from DVD Talk on the front cover!

I paid about $15 for EACH of the first 3 titles. :( I've only viewed the first one so far, but it is indeed a great show. (And they get away with quite a lot on British telly!)

My shipping dates are on the 23 and 24, respectively. I'm still waiting for the Margaret Cho collection, as well as the more expensive version of Mythos. :(

You're all very lucky. Campbell's Mythos appears to be OOS and my estimated ship date is 2/15!

Huge thanks to the OP. I almost bought both Joseph Campbell sets during the last DDD sale, and almost ordered Wire in the Blood from Amazon.co.uk during my annual R2 binge. Glad I held off on all of these.

I ordered Mythos before this deal even hit the Bargain forum. I guess Amazon doesn't put you in any kind of first-in, first-out queue for filling orders. At least this wasn't a Christmas present or anything.
