Thank you! I'll try it.

I placed an order at my local Suncoast on 12/4 and specifically mentioned the box set. They also only had one version on their computer for the $29.99 price. If it's not he 5 disc box set I'm going to glare at the cashier until he or she gives me my $5 back. It'll be a glaring of a life time too.

In case anyone is still looking for this in the LA area, I just got back from the Suncoast in the Glendale Galleria and they have still have 2 copies priced at $29.99. Look in the "Boxset" section.

They must've just gotten them in, because I tried there a couple weeks ago -- in both the foreign and box set sections -- and they had none. Thank you for the head's up.

Walter,

If the other one's still there when you get yours, lmk. My brother lives in L.A. and I might be able to get him to pick it up and bring it with him when he flies in for the holidays next week.

EDIT: Yes! They had at least one left. I got them to hold it and my brother picked it up today. Ironically, he was going there today anyway. Thanks so much, PDDP.

$39.99 at Best Buy In-Store

In case anyone missed this at Suncoast and is still looking for a copy,
I've been to several Best Buys and have seen the five disc sets tagged at $39.99--if you happen to still have a Madden 20% coupon, your cost is then $31.99, not bad.

In Store only (possible YMMV), as their website price is $69.99

Hey BeckysBoy,

Are there any more left? Just read the first post that mentions the Glendale Galleria.

I might call and try to hit up their last copy.

It's going to be hard to pry any attention from the Charger game. Do you happen to have the number on you that I can use between now and the end of the game?

Which section did you find these sets in?

I don't know if there were any more. I just had the clerk pull one and hold it up front, so I doubt my brother would have seen if there were more either. Best bet is to call: 818-246-6386

I wanted to bump this thread in case anybody missed it the first time, and to inform that this deal is still good. I just purchased a second copy of this from Suncoast today (I bought the first a few weeks ago, and gave it as a gift), and it's still marked $29.99. It rang up fine, so presumably they haven't corrected this definite error yet. Grab one while you can. It's a great package.

I called all the SunCoasts and Sam Goody's around here, and no one had it, so I went ahead and picked it up at Best Buy for 39.99. Still comes out a couple dollars cheaper than DDD, even with tax.

Has anyone succeeded in ordering a copy at Suncoast at $29.99?

I was at Suncoast today and found only the two-disc version and it's priced at $29.99.

Maybe Suncoast finally discovered its mistake. So if anyone's been delaying, might want to try to find a copy of the box set now before it's too late. This has to be one of the longest price mistakes of all time though -- well, this and the SCTV misprices at Blockbuster.

Nope, went to the Burbank Suncoast and picked up the 5-disc for $29.99. So still good. You can always pre-order if they don't have any in stock

My guess is the old stock has the incorrect price and recent stock has the correct price.

I noticed in a post on IMDB someone said they picked up a copy of the 5-disc at mediaplay for $25. I checked my local mediaplay and they said they had 2 copies in for $27.99, although we couldn't find them anywhere in the store. I know mediaplay, suncoast, and sam goody are all related stores - so I suppose this isn't too surprising that a similar price mistake shows up at suncoast and mediaplay. These have to be the 5 disc because the suggested retail on their computers comes up as $59. Also, the guy claimed he was unable to order it for me at that price - he said he can't order directly from their distributer like that.

I went to my local SC and they had the 5 disc but with a black marker had marked through the 29.99 price and wrote 59.99.

They're probably trying to make up for the loss of selling all those 5-Disc sets at $29.99

Are people buying this only because it's an extremely good deal, or because of that and the fact that they like this film. I've never seen, and don't know much about. I'm curious about picking it up, because it would be one helluva deal, but obviously it would be a complete blind buy.

It has a young(er) Lena Olin in it, what more could you ask for?
