I would call the store Tuesday before you make that 30 minute drive.

Hmmm, I wonder if NYC will be running this promotion?....for some reason I doubt that they will be.

i called BBV in Kent, Ohio and was told they were doing the $8 and that it started Tuesday October 5th. He told me it had to be in their system, have UPC, and cover art. I wonder... What is in their system??

Called one in Wilmington, NC.

Minimum $8 store credit (for the 1st week only) for any DVD, bring in as many as u want, as long as they have cover art, and aren't scratched to hell.

sweet.

Anybody aware of any participating BBVs in southern or central IN? None in Louisville area are participating so I'm willing to drive for an hour or so if I could rake in.

I called two stores today but they said that their store does not take trade-ins currently. If anyone finds any stores in the West Palm Beach area please let me know.

Question.

I am going to take my stuff to blockbuster. I have about 35 I am taking and about 30 of them were throwaway gifts from my dads side of the family.

Say I want to get the six sessions of Cowboy Bebop. Can they special order them for me to be delivered to that store for me? I know their prices are gonna be suckeee, but hey I am gonna get them for free.

Well, stores in my area (Palm Beach County, West) have done trade-ins before. They did stop doing them at the store I called today though. There are plenty of stores here in Palm Beach County that are franchisees and participate in whichever promotion they choose, under no guidance of a district manager. It doesn't mean that it will happen or it will not but you never know unless you have all the facts. Someone might find a franchise store or a corporate store who is doing this promotion and I posted that request just incase anyone did even though I read nrose101 post.

Anyone know if I can trade in Boxsets? Like Six Feet Under Season 1. Although I think I might get more if I just sold it on ebay.

Thanks

I called two Blockbusters in my town this evening and they both said the buy back will begin on Tuesday (October 5th). They also said the prices given would depend on the dvds being traded in (for store credit or a gift card).

Yeah, looks like the $8 minimum guarantee isn't going to happen in Dallas either (well, Plano actually). My local Blockbuster has a big sign in their window announcing this trade-in deal. It begins on October 5th, but nowhere does the sign mention an $8 minimum. In fact, if you read the fine print, it states that the trade-in value amount for a dvd will be determined soley at the discretion of Blockbuster.

I have several dvds I would trade-in for $8. But for only $5, I'm not so sure.

I called a store Chapel Hill, NC since I'm going out of town, and they are participating as well. The only limitation is, a customer can only receive a maximum of $500 Store credit!

Damn, thats a lot.

Well got my box of 27 movies
