Picked these up last week at the WB lot after participating in the new Superman Experience attraction. I want to check out Woman of Tomorrow since that is the source material for the new Supergirl movie.

If you don't know the comic on the left is Neal Adams' iconic Superman cover from the 1970s, while the comic on the right was a modern DC issue from last summer which came out right before the movie.

I loved Atlantis Attacks as it was coming out. It just seemed like a well-managed event with several solid, mostly standalone stories in different annuals. It was the summer of Michael Keaton's Batman, wasn't it? Probably the absolute peak of my comic book fandom. The industry would soon get ridiculous in the next year or two when Image arrived and Marvel/DC decided to chase the speculators.

That cover actually looks pretty good for Liefeld. You can sort of understand how he became a A-lister.
But, upon closer inspection, I wonder if it's been touched up. Namorita doesn't look like she's drawn in his style at all (even beyond a visible foot) and some other details don't really look like his style at all.
