Brian Bolland is one of those people that can sell a comic just by the cover. Love his stuff.

This was always one of my favorites. Somehow looks both modern and golden age. I loved the thought of these guys sitting in a cafe somewhere just shooting the shit together while out of their costumes.

Looks like no cover until Thursday. But it will be worth the wait.

I never was a Silver Surfer fan and only had ones where he guest appeared. This is the only issue I had of his stuff that I can remember.

I assume everyone here is somewhat familiar with Action Comics #1 - Superman's first appearance - but how about the second issue?? (FYI - Superman didn't appear on the cover again until issue #7)

Mildly similar, this is an issue I had as a kid. The story inside was haunting and deep with a badass Punisher appearance. The last page freaked me out. I was only 9 years old when it was released. I read this issue dozens of times.

All the Adam Hughes covers he did for Catwoman sell for a lot on this run. It's funny because the non-Adam Hughes issues are like a buck each and then you have his cover run which goes for real money.

I'll be incredibly happy when I don't have to hear about Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce anymore. The most inorganic push of any relationship I've ever seen in media history. The Royals over in England receive less attention.

OK, here's one that I've always liked that is both good and bad. Welcome to Todd McFarlaneland!

I love the layout and the colors, and there's a ton of great detail - but McFarlane's cartoony style knocks it down a peg. I don't hate McFarlane's art, but I haven't been a fan of it since about 1994. Still, this is a good cover, overall. And this run was hugely successful at the time.

I always liked the way McFarlane drew Hulk. How about a Spider-Punch to the nuts!

Early McFarlane Spidey art is pretty great though his style becomes more and more ornate with each passing issue, a foreshadowing of his Spawn art. It eventually becomes too elaborate for its own good.

What happened in 1994 that made you stop liking Todd MacFarlane? I'm not a huge fan or anything, but that seems an odd cutoff given that by '94 he was more or less done as an artist.
