Re: Random comic-related pic thread

Been on an autograph kick lately, and was upset that I never went to meet Bernie Wrightson, perhaps my favorite artist. His stuff is getting very expensive, and figured I might never get his autograph. But opened an old box I had forgotten about and found this. My favorite comic signed by two of my favorite artists!

That's awesome, Trevor. I have his autograph on my copy of the Creepshow graphic novel from the 80s.

Looks like Wolverine's head is attached to Nightcrawler's right shoulder. Who's the artist for the first picture?

Jim Starlin. That's from the Death of Captain Marvel book.

I guess that's Superman in the background on the top one? The colorist even got his cape and boots right!

And Garfield... kind of easy to miss. Is that a Byrne image?

And, finally, is that Superman cameoing in a Simonson Thor issue, or Thor cameoing in a Simonson drawn DC story?

Looks like Supes in Marvel. Juliette D'Angelo is a Marvel character.

That is definitely Byrne. I had that issue as a kid and always thought it was a stuffed animal of Garfield because they were real popular at that time.

I also had that Clark Kent cameo issue. I am almost positive it was a Thor issue. I remember thinking Thor actually looked kinda cool in a ponytail.

Re: Random comic-related pic thread

When Gwen Stacy returned in the final panel of the May 1975 issue of Amazing Spider-Man, this is what readers saw in the published issue.

But what those who weren’t lucky enough to be working in the Marvel Bullpen at the time never saw was the alternate version originally handed in by artist Ross Andru.
