Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!
Since my work schedule is packed tomorrow and it seems likely I'll miss the live results, let me work in Aquaman superpower images (BTW, I hope everyone chose his mighty power of being able to talk to fish!)

The New 52 Aquaman is one of the best current comics actually. I remember back when the New 52 first started Aquaman was in the top ten sales charts for several months in a row, and not a single Marvel comic made the top ten. That means Aquaman was outselling everything by Marvel, including Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men.
The New 52 Aquaman also isn't afraid to poke fun at the whole stereotype of Aquaman being lame. Some scans:

He was pretty bad-ass in Justice League Unlimited though. My favorite scene of his was when Downpour (aka Zan of the Wonder Twins) was pounding him with water. And Aquaman just stood there, before telling Downpour "King of Sea, remember?" with a smirk. And then he bitchslaps him!

I certainly did think of the general perception of Aquaman being lame. Its a sheep game of what the average person would think, not what my honest opinion of the character is. Several of my answers don't reflect my actual opinion. The worst character death and best Robin are two others that come immediately to mind.

I generally like Geoff Johns, but the whole "Hey, let's make a joke out of the fact that everyone thinks Aquaman is lame" thing was ... well, lame. It's one thing for the readers to think he's lame. There's no reason anybody in the DCU would think he was lame. I mean, I don't care how much you like Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, if you see Steve Nash in a restaurant (or, to analogize to the scene with cops, you see him shooting hoops on a playground court), you are not going to rip on him. So I get that fans think he's a doofus, but there's no way the average citizen of the DCU should think that.
And, as an aside, there have been some awesome Aquaman stories over the years. Check out Aquaman: Death of a Prince (which reprints some great late 70s stories) or some of the stories Peter David did in the 90s. Great stuff.
OK, off my soapbox. Bring on the sheep!

I agree with Peter David's 90s Aquaman run being really good. It was one of the better comics of the 90s. The only thing I didn't particularly care for was the thing with piranhas eating Aquaman's hand and having it replaced with a harpoon, but I know that was just the trend of making every character EXXXXTREME in the 90s.

You may have already decided what you're doing with these, but I figured I'd chime in.
1. Not that I know of, but I haven't read any X-men since 2006-ish.
2. see above
3. My first instinct is yes, but in doing some research I realize he was much more of a "villain" in Secret Wars II, which is what I think of when I think of the Beyonder. I could go either way on that one. Galactus I think should definitely be labeled a villain.
4. Already discussed in pretty good depth, but I will echo the statements regarding Rocket Raccoon. Any form of Raccoon should probably be counted. Obviously whoever submitted Rocky Raccoon had some basis to their answer and didn't just pull that name out of nowhere, unless their strategy when they don't have an answer is to just name random Beatles songs.
5. No. As mentioned before, X-Calibre is the AoA version of the team. And wasn't Nightcrawler really the only common link between the two?
Okay, here are a few questions for the group.
1. Did the Ultimate version of Jubilee ever come to the 616?
2. Did alternate / future versions of Wolverine or Charles X ever come to the 616?
3. Does the Beyonder count as a villain in Secret Wars?
4. Should I accept partial names as characters? For example, if the question was. Name a Batman villain and the person answering said crocodile, instead of Killer Croc, should I count it as correc?.
5. Is Excalibur and X-Calibre the same thing?

The first Secret Wars revealed the Beyonder to be one of the most powerful cosmic beings who swatted down Galactus as if he was nothing more than a common housefly.
Then the Secret Wars II where the Beyonder has to be potty trained by Spider-Man...

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!
I've read a handful of the New 52 series, and Aquaman was probably the best, to my surprise.
I got Death of a Prince for the Aparo art and am looking forward to reading it knowing that the stories are also quality.

And I will state publicly, I never thought the Superfriends version that everyone rips on was a lame character. The lamest thing about that version was the way every time the story called for it, coincidentally there was a body of water around for Aquaman to use his talents.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!
I was thinking about Namor too, but Marvel did a better job of emphasizing his physical strength. Aquaman should have that too from swimming in the ocean depths, but is anyone going to choose that answer in our Sheep game? Not likely.

I was very tempted to use all my slams on question 1, because talking to fish and breathing underwater were the only answers that seemed sheepy. But I chickened out at the last minute.

Marvel emphasized Namor's strength outside of the water. It always seemed in the superfriends that Aquaman was in water.
