Oh dear. I hope a lot of people forgot The Falcon and chose my answer who rode a horse. On occasion. Sometimes into battle. And not from the Big 2.

Unless you counted Aquaman's vast army of underwater fish.

Same here. My mind was stuck thinking of superheroes, not superhero girlfriends.

I was thinking Supergirl before you mentioned not from the Big 2. Pre-Crisis Supergirl rode a horse named Comet. Comet was also in love with Supergirl and loved it when she rode him.

Seriously.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!

Before Aquaman came to mind I almost went with this (but had a feeling that wouldn't be a good move):

And lest you scoff at squirrels, ask Doctor Doom how formidable they are:

I wish I had a match, but sadly, I completely forgot about him when I did my answers.

Hopefully, I matched with someone who remembered this handsome lad:

Am I the only one that said Red Wolf? For some reason Aquaman escaped me.

Of course this doesn't help me because you're the one I'm trying to catch in the standings now.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!

I think the only way to decide the Mary Jane vs. Jean Grey debate is to consult the Marvel Swimsuit Specials:

Mary Jane?

Spoiler:

or Jean?

I'm afraid I'm going to need to see some more bikini shots before I can make up my mind.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!

and in case any doubts the popularity of Valiant back in the day, here's a crappy photo I took with my phone of the Top 10 hottest comics list in the April '93 issue of Wizard that I had in a box in my basement. Numbers 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8 are all Valiant. Oh, and yes, I'm bored. Thanks for asking.

I have #4, #5, #6, #8 and #10. Wasn't into Magnus or Rai. And Shadowman kind of lost me.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!

Was 1993 a bad year for comics or something? The Simpsons and Ren and Stimpy?!

This list was always about what the speculators were buying up. Both shows were probably at their peaks and just about anything that was a #1 issue was going to be in demand. Especially smaller print run stuff like I'm sure those two were.
