Yeah, I added two $3.99 books and a $2.99 book and it made the second $3.99 one free. I thought that was cool.

Nice, I might finish off Brubaker's Captain American and Winter Soldier run using this coupon.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Would have posted that deal (which popped up right after my last post) at 10:39 but I've been going thru the entire Marvel catalog since then.

Tried to choose things that I imagined won't go on $.99 sales, and things I didn't own in print; but finally just gave up and filled my cart mostly with long runs of $1.99 Peter David Hulk and Frank Miller Daredevil.

Comixology's shopping cart maxes out at 150 items if any of you were curious.

Oh, and that Dresden sale goes until 2/23/15. It's Dynamite, so make sure you don't already own it on Dark Horse or Humble Bundle.

And Dark Horse's weekend sale is a great one: 58 issues of their anthology book at $.99 per.
https://digital.darkhorse.com/browse/brand/51/

Also a 43 book mega bundle (the more recent issues) for $30.

This mega bundle actually includes EVERY item from the individual issues (except for the 4 "DHP" one-shots); the issue count is confusing because there are a bunch of redundant mini-bundles listed.

That MARVEL coupon code doesn't work on Marvel MAX, unfortunately.

Maybe on Monday the biweekly Marvel sale that overlaps with BOGO coupon will be a Marvel Max one; I cant see Marvel doing too much double dipping. Fingers crossed.

Good time to grab the annuals and specials that are left out of sales, and also that little run of Uncanny X-Men they skipped in all the sales (138-143).

Oh, if you bought that Ultimate Spidey bundle last year, it left out one issue, 16.1 iirc. So now's a good time to complete the set.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Marvel Monday is another Uncanny X-Men sale. Again, the issues continue from the last sale's end point.
99 cent issues:
Uncanny X-men #372-409

https://www.comixology.com/Uncanny-X-Men-Sale/page/5494

Remember that the Marvel BOGO coupon stacks with this, so you can get a really good deal on these issues.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I've basically made a mortgage payment worth of orders with that BOGO deal. Now I have enough reading material for 60 more years.

I wonder if people sell their Comixology accounts? Mine would be worth a doozy.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Is the MARVEL coupon multiple use? I used it on the Uncanny sale, but I didn't want to put a bigger order in because only the 99c issues would've been free.

Yes, the code is multiple use.

I've used it probably a dozen times.

Wish Max and Icon would have been included in the BOGO sale.

I think I'll wait for the inevitable Dungeons & Dragons IDW humble bundle (nothing has been announced but it seems a likely candidate).

The Marvel 'buy one get one free' coupon code just expired; at 11:59pm EST on 2/23/15. Hopefully it will have been successful enough for them to do another in the future (when I can afford to buy more stuff).

I'd like to start the bidding off at $100?

Good call on waiting on the D&D sale.

And add two zeroes and I'll begin to consider it.

For completion's sake:

From IDW, a Dungeons & Dragons sale at Comixology, ends 3/02/15.

https://www.comixology.com/Dungeons-...Sale/page/5481

Some tempting books, but I'm going to hold out for it all being in a Humble Bundle someday.

It's not so much the money, I'm way too fine with paying $1 a book for comics I want. But the Humble Bundles are just way too good of a deal to resist. Even if I already own half or more of them, the price per issue is crazy low.

My problem is ending up with the confusion of comics in multiple places. I'd love to be able to pigeonhole their bundles to just a couple companies, and then know to never buy those company's books anywhere else.

Either that or a happy little world where Comixology allowed a Humble widget where you could import those purchases into your account; and vice versa.
