Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

No new sales or freebies today.

I did see a couple new bundles on the Marvel page, and one new bundle on Comixology, the new Valiant stuff.

Today's the last day to talk me out of spending $99 on that Ultimate Spidey bundle.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

^ I failed, thanks for trying.

Two new sales today. First, from Marvel, we get a three day sale on Captain America. The titles included repeat what has been on sale/bundled recently:

Captain America vol 5 1-42

Fallen Son: Death of Captain America 5 issue mini

I've bought all of these Cap bundles recently and have enjoyed what I've sampled. I'm a little confused as to the proper reading order of course, Marvel numbering is such a mess.

Does instocktrades ever put out coupon codes for everyone, or are they usually unique to people after an order?

You meant this to be in the other (physical) discount thread, right?

I've never seen special code discounts there outside of the bonus 2% on subsequent orders.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Looks like no new sales for Sunday, as usual; but with seven different active sales that's fine by me.

ONI collections

Marvel collections

Captain America collections

the earliest Mad magazines

Captain America by Brubaker

Geoff Johns DC books

Alternative Comics

Today's Marvel Monday is just some more Brubaker Captain America that's been on sale in a web bundle; the reborn side of the story now.

I've been building up my Valiant collection through their sales; all are enjoyable, but I'm very far out from paying full price for a comic on a monthly basis (partly because I have a ton of stuff to read, partly because they always seem to go on sale).

I noticed tonight that I had acquired the first four issues of X-O Manowar as a freebie from one of those sxsw codes that you had posted I think. They were good, so I picked up the other 14.

Oh yeah, now that I look closer I do already "own" those first four. I'll read them tonight.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Amazon has a ton of Kindle books for sale for $2-$4. There's a lot of Marvel and Top Shelf stuff in here, but there are also a lot of single issues, which makes it kind of a pain to sort through.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Just in case some of you didn't see the news or the separate thread we have on it: Amazon has purchased Comixology. Hopefully this only makes digital comics better, and doesn't end the frequent sales now that Amazon has essentially cornered the market.

Four new sales today, three in bundle options, no new freebies.
